Life was different. It was better, but it was still hard. It was a different kind of hard though, I no longer had to deal with my family trying to hide my wings. I could open them whatever I wanted and I could fly inside the meadow concealed by the woods, but there was one problem: I didn’t know how to fly.

My parents didn’t let me attend flight school, so I’d never learned.

I also struggled with money. I didn’t have any financial support after I’d left so it became hard. The only personal items I owned was a blanket, a journal, sketchbook, a candle and my saddle bag.

For the first time of my life I had all the freedom I’d ever wanted, and I had no idea what to do.
