What does Sexual Assault cause?

Imagine a beautiful island, it's tropical and colorful. Exotic animals, plants and the outstanding of all... A small vulnerable Princess. They wear white and her is as bright as the sun, her happiness and innocence is what keeps the island alive. The island maintains itself extravagant and fruitful, as long as the princess has a genuine and wide smile.

One dreadful day comes a monster demanding the keeper of the island to show themselves. The animals coward away and hide, the plants close and protect themselves. With short shy strides the princess comes out and makes her way to the monster.

She smiles at it and asks what does it want, as always her kindness shows. Unfortunately, the monster ignores that and begins to taunt her by throwing mud at her spotless white dress. The monster proceeds to force her out of the dirty dress, leaving her bare to it.

In a small voice she begs for the monster to stop and leave, but it only lets out a malicious laugh. The monster begins to destroy the island, by draining the light of the innocent princess. With every aggressive motion the flowers dry out, the trees begin to fall and the animal get swallowed by the crumbling floor. Every cry and scream from the princess the color slowly fades away and is replaced with gloomy dark shades. The monster seems satisfied by the damage and looks at the trembling princess, smiles and walks away.

With shaky legs the princess stands up and looks at her destroyed, once perfect island. All that's left was her once white dress, now covered in covered in mud and teared up. She is left alone in that dark place, no where to run, no one to talk to because she is embarrassed that she wasn't able to protect her island. She is afraid that no one will believe her, because that monster was someone important.

She is left with the constant fear that the monster will come back. People from other islands always tell her "to stop overreacting" or "You just want attention" or "Stop whining and rebuild everything, be happy again".

They will never understand that all her plants keep dying, the animals are terrified live there and always escape, or that the trees won't stand back up. They do not understand that she can't put the floor back together, because the monster stole pieces that are required to keep the floor from crumbling.

They do not understand that the nightmares, the fear, the feeling of hollowness are preventing her from finding happiness. Without her genuine and innocent smile the color won't replace the gloomy shades. She is angry because no one ever taught her the evil of the world, she was shown that only good people existed. All that was snatched away.

Her island is destroyed, but worst of all the princess is being consumed by the feelings of guilt, dirtiness, embarrassment and worst of all fear. That is what the others do not seem to understand and the monster will not be punished for it.

Her life must continue on and she will have to go through her traumatizing alone. She has a choice to either let it define her or make her stronger. Everything changed now, her doors to the island are closed.

A/N: It was hard writing this... I'm sorry.
