Not an update: A general query

Hi everyone,

I hope you are safe and sound. The book is coming towards its end and I have very mixed feelings on that. In the last updates, I made a back to back update because I can understand the pain of having to wait for single update. And my plan is to do so with the next few chapters as well before I finish the book. But I had few concerns regarding the character development of the characters in the book. Generally, I hate when the characters are often portrayed as a weak character who often depend others, and aren't a person of themselves. I have tried to maintain that consistency of characters as independent and self reliant ones but with the ups and down, I am afraid if I doing to that to them. If you have any suggestions towards the characters or with how the story is unfolding, please let me know.
