In the middle of the first semester of their second year, a set of Quintuplets transferred to Asahi High School. Even though it's only their first day, they're quite popular.
"Who are those five?" Kotaro thought to himself, as he was munching on a sandwich during lunch time.
"That girl wearing those headphones... she seems interesting."
"Oi, Kotaro! You've been staring at those girls for a long time now. Are you interested in them?" Kotaro's best friend, Hikaru Ichinose, tells him.
"Shut up. They're new, aren't they?"
"Yeah. They're really cute, though!"
"You're the one that's interested. Not me." Kotaro shrugs.
He then stands up to bring his tray to the counter.
"It's almost time for the next class. Let's go."
At their classroom, their homeroom teacher walks in with a familiar looking girl.
"Wait... she's one of the quints we saw earlier." Kotaro thought to himself.
"Good afternoon, class. Starting today, you will have a new classmate. Why don't you introduce yourself, sweetie?"
"I'm Miku Nakano, It's nice to meet you all." The girl says.
"Take a seat beside Akashiro-kun there."
"Hello." Kotaro stutters.
Miku simply ignores him.
"Okay... I hope you have fun in this school, I guess." Kotaro then reads a book from his bag.
"Rejected by the new girl..." Kotaro thought to himself.
Later that day, Kotaro goes to the Music Club.
"Good afternoon, pres!" the first year students say.
"Sup, Kotaro." Another student says.
"Kotarooooo!" Hikaru shouts.
"Hey, do we have new applications?" Kotaro takes a seat.
"Yeah, apparently one of the quints is interested in joining us."
"Oh? Who?" Kotaro gets curious.
"Miku Nakano, was it? I think she's in your class."
"Oh... it's the same girl that ignored me..." Kotaro thought to himself.
Suddenly, someone walks in through the door.
"I'd like to join the music club, please." Miku says.
"Great. What instrument do you play?" Kotaro replies.
"I... play the piano."
"Would you like to play for us?"
"Okay..." Miku then heads towards the piano, and plays Liebestraume by Liszt.
Everyone in the room applauds her.
"Nakano-san, that was impressive!" Hikaru says, tearing up.
"Well, welcome to the club!" Kotaro congratulates her.
Miku smiles.
"Wow... she's beautiful." Kotaro thought to himself.
