soobin: "Knock, knock."

soobin: "Hey. It's me."
[SOOBIN sits on bed]

y/n: (whispers) "Hi."
soobin: "You okay?"

soobin: "Really?"
y/n: (bursts into tears)
[SOOBIN hugs Y/N]
soobin: "Whose ass do I need to kick?"
y/n: (laughs) "No one's."
soobin: "Bullshit. What's wrong?"
y/n: "It's my mom."
soobin: "Oh no... did you call her again?"
y/n: "Yeah."
soobin: "And?"
y/n: (sobs harder)
soobin: "I'm so sorry... listen, whatever she said or however she treated you isn't valid. At all. You don't deserve that and you don't need that in your life."
y/n: "Thanks."
soobin: "But I know that she's still your mom."
y/n: "I love her."
soobin: "I know."
y/n: "Why doesn't she love me anymore?"
soobin: "We don't know that she doesn't."
y/n: "She acted like I was a telemarketer. Or maybe she didn't even bother saving my number in her phone. I don't know which one is worse."
soobin: "Both are awful."
y/n: "What happened between us?"
soobin: "That's not between you two. That's between your parents. You shouldn't feel like you always need to mend everything between them, [y/n]. You're their kid."
y/n: "Who else is going to do it but me? They won't do anything. They're too mad to talk to each other."
soobin: "I know but why does that have to be your burden to carry? At the end of the day, it's your life, is it not?"
y/n: "Yes but--"
soobin: "And if your parents really loved you which they do, even your mom, then maybe they don't talk to each other because they know chaos would happen if they did." (sighs) "Maybe your mom is going through something and she doesn't want you to be part of it."
y/n: "Maybe."
soobin: "I'm not saying never reach out. I'm just saying be careful when you do."
y/n: "I know. I will next time. I'm gonna try again."
soobin: "Okay."
y/n: "As long as I'm here, I want to spend time with her too."
soobin: "What do you mean as long as you're here?"
y/n: "Oh. Nothing. I just mean, as long as I'm here on this earth."
soobin: "You're going to be here for a very long time. You know why?"
y/n: "Why?"
soobin: "Because you're definitely not dying before me. I'll make sure of it. We have a lot more things to do together."
y/n: "Like what?"
soobin: "Hm... like ride a hot air balloon. Travel to Paris. Go scuba diving."
y/n: "Scuba diving kind of scares me."
soobin: "Okay, how about swimming with sharks?"
y/n: "I hate you."
soobin: (laughs) "Kidding."
y/n: "Don't your arms get numb?"
soobin: "From what?"
y/n: "From hugging me like this for so long."
soobin: "Are you kidding me? I think they were basically made to do this. It'll never get old."
y/n: (smiles) "You are suspiciously good at sweet talk."
soobin: "I've had a lot of practice."

soobin: "Wow, I haven't seen you jealous in awhile."
y/n: "I'm not jealous."
soobin: "I hope not because there's nothing for you to be jealous about. It's just you and it's always just been you. Okay?"
