At Least, We Met
Perhaps ours was no ever after;
never like those novels I have read
but at least once we were together;
at least once in this lifetime, we met:
We were once each other's midnight
each other's new year's eve kiss
each other's golden hue of daylight
the one I share my left earphone with
At least once, we belonged together
we used to held hands in the subway
at least once, we got to plan our future
as we kiss under the pouring rain
Perhaps we lost our dream of forever
along with the promises we made
But at least we believed one another
at least, even for a chapter, we met
