Darling, you are now just a memory
that my heart will embrace at 11:59
along with all my we-could've-been's
but I will let go when the midnight strikesYou are now nothing but a tear
that would fall a minute before twelve
holding all those wish-you-were-here's
but I'd just wipe away from my faceYou used to be every chapter of 2019;
every name of its 365 scented pages;
the subject between lines of every piece
but will fade in the last month's 31st dayDarling, it's about time to close 2019's book
Cheers to 2020 where there's no more you
