despite its wound behind curtains
as I admire you here from afar
hoping to feel your warmth again
This is loving you against all odds
though the fate of you isn't with me,
the name you cry is no longer mine
and you're just now my cannot-be
This is loving you despite its pain
more than anyone could ever do
without asking you to do the same
and the way I've been wanting to
This is loving you with every bit of my heart
This is still loving you though it's tearing me apart
