Love Before You
Love used to sound so strange
to be felt by someone like me
not until your lips touched mine
flavoured like a bottled whiskeyLove used to look so absurd
to be known by a creep like me
whose oddness scare the world
for I'm beyond a stereotypical dreamLove used to be out of my league—
something that I, too, was afraid of
but the warmth of your delicate fingers
made me want to feel so much more
