Chapter 8: Project Orochi

Another few years have past since Delta met the rabbit(or bunny?) siblings. The two were now considered as one of the best carriers in the Sakura Empire, just below the two foxes. There were also two new carriers introduced. Shoukaku and Zuikaku, they were known as the 5th carrier decision. Delta only met them once and she could see their bond with one another but unlike the two previous carrier divisions she met they didn't want to be trained by Delta because they wanted to become stronger on their own. Delta respecting their decision agreed but on the inside she was very happy that she didn't have to train anymore carriers. She wasn't a teacher for goodness sake.

Delta was still waiting for her temporary leave to be over and assume the role of commander again. Despite the multiple requests from the 1st and 2nd carrier divisions to have her reappointed early, Nagato merely waved the request of.

Delta: "(Hmm. Those carriers were also part in the raid of Pearl Harbour. I wonder what year is it? It has to be at least in the 1940s. That means Enterprise's grandma is now in service.)

Enterprise exiting the building noticed her wife looking towards the sea with a blank look.

Enterprise: "*****, you okay?"

Snapping out of her trance Delta finally noticed Enterprise.

Delta: "Huh? Oh yeah just spaced out a little.

Enterprise: "Okay. Shall we go?"

Delta nodded and two walked home together.

Timeskip...

The two arrived home and entered their house only to see Akagi, Kaga, Nagato and Mikasa waiting in the living room.

Enterprise: "What's the gathering for?"

Nagato: "We're here to discuss something with you two."

Enterprise: "Alright, what is it?"

Nagato: "As you know there are 4 main nations. They are Eagle Union, Royal Navy, Ironblood and us, the Sakura Empire."

Enterprise: "Yeah, what about them?"

Nagato: "You see, Eagle Union and Royal Navy have an alliance and they're now under the banner of Azur Lane. They believe that determination alone can win the war against the sirens."

Delta: "(So basically the allies...then that means...no don't tell me...)"

Nagato: "We have decided to join the Ironblood and form the Crismson Axis. The R&D department determined that the siren technology we recovered can be used against them."

The two were shocked at Nagato's words. World War 2 was in their minds. The events of how the Axis Powers were formed. Even though they warned them of what happened they still want to go to war.

Enterprise: "And what does that have to do with us?"

Nagato: "For you Enterprise, we offer you to become the lead shipwright in the construction of Project Orochi."

Enterprise: "Project Orochi? What is that?"

Nagato: "A secret siren weapon we are going to build in order to combat both the sirens and Azur Lane."

Enterprise: "And Delta?"

Nagato: "I will reinstate her early as commander but not of the combined fleet but as commander of the Sakura Empire. Only 2nd to me. We want her to be in charge of every battle against the siren and Azur Lane."
