Alexander

I walked up towards the cafeteria. I looked over by the football team and Ben made eye contact with me. He than said something to them and than got up and walked towards me.
Ben-"So where are we sitting."
Lily-"Anywhere is good."
We than found an empty table and sat down. I looked over to the right of us to see the football team starring and to the left of us was Stefanie and a bunch of girls. I than heard a familiar voice.
"Can I sit with you guys?"
Ben-"Yeah sure."
I turned around to see the mystery man behind me.
Ben-"I'm Ben and this is Lily."
Alexander-"I'm Alexander, call me Alex though."
I than looked over at him and smiled. He smiled back.
Alexander-"Aren't you in my math class?"
Lily-"I think so."
He than smirked at me. Ben was confused.
Ben-"So Alex, do you play any sports?"
Alexander-"Well I was thinking of trying out for the football team."
Ben-"Oh, our team here is pretty hard to make especially since we already have a good team from last year."
I can tell Ben was trying to throw shade at Alex.
Lily-"I think I prefer Alexander rather than Alex."
Alexander blushed as Lily smiled.
Alexander-"I got the name from my mother. Her name was Alexandria."
I noticed how he said "was" as in past tense but I didn't want to bring it up. Maybe that's why he was at the cemetery before.
Alexander-"Anyways, will you be at the tryouts today."
Ben-"Will I be? I was on the team last year."
Alexander-"Well people do quite sports."
Ben-"I'm going to go get a water."
Ben than looked at me.
Ben-"Do you want anything?"
Lily-"I'm good."
Ben than got up and left.
Alexander-"Maybe we don't have to be strangers."
Lily-"I would like that."
They than both smiled at each other.
Lily-"Let me see your schedule."
Alexander-"Here."
He than handed me his schedule that was all folded up.
Lily-"Hmmm. Alexander James Rogers."
Alexander-"That's my full name."
Lily-"Lets see, we only have Math together, wait your in Chemistry?"
Alexander-"Yeah."
Lily-"We are suppose to take that next year."
Alexander-"Well I like science."
I than handed him back his schedule. Whenever I looked into his eyes I felt this sense of comfort, as if everything if going to be okay. Ben than came back with a water.
Ben-"It seems that Lunch is almost over."
The bell than ringed.
Lily-"It seems that it is over."
Ben smiled and we walked together to his locker. After we went to his locker I than headed off to English. And than a couple more periods went by until school was over.
After last period I walked back to my locker to get my bag to see Stefanie standing outside it.
Lily-"Hello?"
Stefanie-"I don't know who you think you are messing around with my ex."
Lily-"Your ex?"
Stefanie-"Um yeah."
Lily-"And who is that?"
Stefanie-"Ben."
I than opened up my locker.
Lily-"But what's wrong with me being friends with him."
Stefanie-"We are cousins. Besides he's just using you because last year when I dumped him he lost a lot of popularity."
Lily-"Like he's going to get popular because of me."
I said Sarcastically.
Stefanie-"Yes. Listen im just watching out for you."
Lily-"It seems that you can care less about me."
Stefanie-"Than why would I be here?"
Lily-"Hmm."
Stefanie-"See. Listen I know we aren't as close as we use to be anymore but you have to trust me on this one. He's a nice person when you first meet him but than he becomes a dick."
I didn't know if Stefanie was lying to me or not.
Lily-"Ok I will stay away than."
I then closed my locker and walked away but she kept following me.
Lily-"How come your walking with me?"
Stefanie-"Well I also figured that you needed a ride home since Ethan drove you and he has tryouts today."
Lily-"I think I rather walk home."
Stefanie-"It's a 30 minute walk from here to the Lockwoods house."
Lily-"Ok."
We than reached the parking lot.
Stefanie-"Just get in my car."
I than decided that maybe it's for the better for us not to fight. I hopped into Stefanies car and we drove over towards the football field.
Stefanie-"Oh look there's Ethan!"
Lily-"Are we going to watch this whole tryout or something?"
Stefanie-"Um.. no, but who is that guys?"
I looked over to see Alexander.
Stefanie-"Wait isn't that the guy you sat with at lunch. He's gorgeous!"
Lily-"Can you drive me home now."
Stefanie-"Ok, ok."
Stefanie than drove out of the parking lot. The whole ride home she went on and on about all her problems. I honestly just ignored it because it was getting annoying. We than pulled up to the Lockwoods house.
