Fairford City plunged deeper into the abyss after the death of its mayor. Not even months later, Robin Jenkins and Christina Clark find the dead body of their neighbor, Violet Hayes, inside their apartment. Christina firmly believes the FCPD, Fairford City Police Department, had swept the investigation under the rug, and she is ready to strike one of her own. She enlists the help of Finn Dallas, their next-door neighbor, who Robin believes knows more than he lets on.
Their investigation leads them straight down to 'The Rabbit Hole', a famous bar inside Darwin, a rotten city lying deep around the edges of Fairford. Once there, they must face Joe, who they believe has the answers they're looking for, and Kaden, a quiet and intimidating man Robin can't help but feel suspicious of.
As the trio submerges itself in the case, secrets and revelations begin to loom the surface, and a dark past that has long been forgotten crawls its way back to haunt one of them.
