His texts were becoming less frequent, no matter how much you questioned if he was "okay" he would quickly respond yes. You noticed the change in things as he would begin to mention work more and more, you knew he was proud of himself but it was something that he talked about more frequently. Your mind began to race as the names of girls kept popping up in the conversations he would have with you. You didn't want to think of anything that would upset you or make you question his feelings for you or even respect for you.
As the night went on, you could sense his distance becoming more and more. No matter how many messages you will send you would never get a reply, you kept telling yourself he was busy. But no matter if he was busy or not he would have said something earlier. Deciding to remove thoughts from your mind you headed out, not knowing where you were going you wanted to not have these unrealistic thoughts take over your mind.
No matter where you went it was the same outcome, you couldn't remove him from your mind. He was always there and it was something you could never change. As you sat in the park lightly pushing yourself on the swings, there was just so much you wanted to know. This was uncommon, he was usually the one blowing up your phone not the other way around. You checked your phone seeing you have any new texts but there was nothing. It has been hours since you heard anything, you knew he was with someone else. You knew that had to be the only reason, he wasn't that busy; he couldn't be that busy.
Finally deciding on what you needed to do you called the one person who wouldn't mind being the witness. Quickly dialing the number you were relieved to hear him answer so fast. "Hello?"
"Taylor I need you to drive me somewhere"
"Elhana, what's going on are you okay?" Taylor's voice soon became filled with concern as you could hear rustling.
"Yeah Tay I'm fine, but someone might be when I get my hands on them. So are you going to drive me or not?"
"Yeah, I'll drive you. Text me where you are and I'll be there in a few"
Not even speaking a word you hung up, not wanting to waste another moment in small talk. You quickly texted him where you were. this was the only moment you could catch him in the act, this needed to be done. You no longer wanted to be in the dark, you wanted to give him what he deserved as well as show his salty ass that you are not the person to be messed with, or even cheated on. Taylor finally arrived, getting into his car you avoided all his questions as you told him where you wanted to go.
"Why Cam's?"
"Elhana, WHY DO YOU WANT TO GO TO CAM'S?" He yelled as you were getting more and more annoyed. "You better tell me now or I will turn this car around."
"I think he's cheating on me" you muttered in a soft whisper.
No more words were spoken, the only sound you heard was the roaring of the engine gets louder. Looking over you noticed Taylor's hand clenching the steering wheel much tighter. The car soon stopped as your eyes were fixed onto the house. This was it, this was the moment you were going to figure out the truth. You and Taylor both exited the car. He gestured you to head towards the house first, as he knew this was your battle you need to fight.
Your shaking hand was raised to knock on the door, as your fist inched closer it swung open revealing a beautiful girl. Your heart sank as you looked at her, she was everything any guy could ever want. She was more than you could ever be. Her heels were in her hand as the smile on her face faded; her eyes landed on you.
"Can I help you?" She questioned as her eyes took in your appearance.
"Babe, who is it?" His voice rang through the house, your mouth hung open at the name he called her. You figured she was a one night stand but no she was his 'babe'.
"I think it's a homeless girl or something"
Before another word was spoken between her and him, he soon appeared; only a towel placed around his waist. His eyes widened as he looked to you, the redness of his cheeks deepened as he knew he was caught. All the anger you felt on the way over here was washed away with sadness, you never wanted to be right about all this. You wanted this to be just you over reacting but that wasn't the case. His struggle for words was obvious, but this wasn't the moment he had to explain this was the moment you had to stick up for yourself.
"Cameron, I thought you were different. You swore to me that you were different but that was my mistake to believe you. You are no better then the guys that were before you, you are low forever doing this to someone after it had happened to you. Well, that is what you had told me. I gave you everything, I was there for you when you felt like you had nothing. I was and will be the best thing to happen to you. It was your mistake to cheat on me, it was your mistake to mess up what you had. yes had because I would be stupid to stay with you after something like this no matter what you might say. You don't deserve to say anything because this was your mistake, this is something you have to live with. So I hope you are happy. Have a good life, Cameron."
Not even looking back you said what you believed needed to be said. Sitting in Taylor's car, the only place you wanted to be was home. The home where you can wish hope this horrid reality is just only a dream.
