Karna's POV:
Karna stared at the closed doors to his room.
His heart was erratically beating.
Inside those magnificent doors was Saanvi.
His wife!
Karna's heart skipped a beat at the word wife.
He cleared his throat in anticipation.
He then extended his hand to push open the doors.
But it seemed as if the doors were even more nervous than he was as they refused to budge open.
He tried pushing them with all his might.
The doors gave away at the last moment and opened with a loud thud.
Shit!
Blunder number 1, done!
He entered inside the chambers to see Saanvi staring at him wide-eyed.
The loud voice must have startled her.
"I..umm..the door got stuck and..umm..i used force and..umm..it made loud noise..I am sorry if I..uhm..startled you."- Karna stammered.
What the hell is wrong with you now karna??
Blunder number 2, done!
"It's okay."-came Saanvi's sweet voice.
Karna was feeling extremely awkward. Here, he was standing near the door and Saanvi was all poised on the bed like the queen she is!
The Queen of my heart!
Stop being so cheesy karna. Man-up for God's sake!
"So..it's awkward isn't it?"- karna gave a low laugh.
Saanvi chuckled as well.
Why isn't she saying anything? Usually she is talking nonstop and look at her now!
Time to take matters into my own hands!
Karna walked to the bed where Saanvi was sitting in all the glory of a newlywed bride, and sat at the edge of the bed.
"You look beautiful."- Karna said admiring her.
Saanvi looked up so stare at karna.
"Thank you."- She said shyly.

Saanvi's POV:
The door banged open with a loud thud.
Saanvi heart skipped a beat.
Karna was here.
Saanvi was posed on the bed in a manner befitting a new bride.
Also, she was a married woman now. She needed to behave like one!
Saanvi immediately lowered her eyes and began looking at the intricate designs on the bedsheet.
Rule 1: Do not look at your husband in the eyes.
Karna began explaining to her in the sweet voice of his the reason for the loudness of the door or something.
But Saanvi's own heartbeats were too loud for her to hear anything else.
She heard his Sorry and with all the courage she had, spoke- "It's okay."
'Wow! What a smart reply Saanvi.'- She mentally berated herself.
Karna was really quiet for a moment.
Does he expect me to welcome him or something?
But those ladies gave me the advice to just follow my husband's lead, didn't they?
Rule 2: Let your husband lead the way.
So she didn't bother looking up at him and waited for him to say something.
"So..it's awkward isn't it?"- Came Karna's voice.
Oh! god! Does he feel awkward because of how I am behaving? Should I do something else?
Should I say something?
Don't be a doll Saanvi. Do something!!
So Saanvi gave what she thought was the best reply.
She chuckled.
Great work Saanvi.
Now Karna must be thinking what a dumb wife he got!
Instead, Karna came near to the bed and slowly sat on the edge of the bed.
It is his room, his bed and look he is sitting so uncomfortably.
"You look beautiful."- he said.
Saanvi's heart skipped another beat.
He thinks I look good. That's good!
After all I did get ready for him only.
"Thank you."- I said shyly.
Rule 3: Shy whenever you can. Men love it when their women feel shy.

Writer's POV:
"Well..umm. You don't have to keep the veil on all the time here. You can take it off. I know it must be uncomfortable."- Said karna.
"Actually I can remove this veil only when you lift it and put it over my head. It's the custom."- Saanvi replied.
"Oh. I wasn't aware of that. I am sorry again."- Karna said.
Blunder number 3, done.
Karna proceeded to hold the veil in his hands and slowly lifted it up revealing Saanvi's beautiful face.
Saanvi Blushed.
"Any more customs to perform, my queen?"- Karna asked.
"Just the glass of milk, my King!"- Saanvi replied.
"Ahh. My energy potion for the night. Right my Queen?"- asked Karna.
"Absolutely, My king!"- Saanvi replied.
Both of them chuckled at their cheesy dialogues.
And this was how the ice of awkwardness was broken between them.
