"Hey Shalnark, I need you to do something." I said. We had arrived back at the base and everyone was just sitting around.

"Sure boss, what is it?" He asked.

"I need you to look up a girl on the hunter website. Her name is f/n l/n." Shalnark gave me a funny look. I didn't react.

"Um sure but can I ask why?" He asked again. I hesitated. I probably should keep the details to myself for now.

"None of your concern, I just need to know."

"Alright then let's go check it out."

Time skip

"Alright I found some stuff on her." Shalnark said. I walked over to look at the screen as he continued.

"There's not much about her. She's not a hunter. She also doesn't use nen by the looks of it. It seems she's just an ordinary girl." I shrugged. Then why am I so attracted to her? She's not very special or powerful. Would could it be?

"Is there anything else?" I asked trying not to sound desperate. Shalnark looked back down to the screen.

"Yeah it says she lives here in York New. Looks like she's got some money."

"Okay thank you Shalnark that was all I needed." I then walked off before Shalnark could ask any more questions. I went back to my seat in the hide out. I opened my book to read it.

Well I wasn't really reading it. I was more just flipping through the pages as she wouldn't leave my mind.

She's so beautiful. Her e/c eyes could shine from miles away. Her hair flows so perfectly. And that smile. I could stare at that smile for the rest of my life. But...why? Why will she not leave my mind? She's beautiful yes, but I've seen plenty of beautiful girls before. Why is she different?

I don't know how much longer I can take this. I have to see her again. I might go insane if I don't. Wait what am I talking about? I shouldn't be getting this worked up over some powerless girl.

I paused my thoughts for a moment.

Powerless. Yes that's a word to describe her. She's nothing compared to me. She's not a hunter nor nen user. I doubt she has gone through any severe training. It would be so easy to-

I subconsciously slapped myself.

What the hell? Why would I think like that. That's not like me at all. I may be a thief but I'm not cruel. Ugh my mind feels like mush right now. I need some clean air and space.

"I'm going on a walk everyone. I'll be back soon." Everyone looked up at me.

"Is everything alright?" Pakunoda asked. I was getting tired of people saying that.

"Yes yes I'm fine. I just need fresh air." I walked out of the building without another word. I didn't feel like talking to anyone anymore. I was very angry at the moment. My emotions were all over the place.

Thoughts. Horrible thoughts were playing in my head. Thoughts about that girl. How helpless she is. It makes me feel...good. That's the only way to describe it. She made me feel good. At the time that was the only word that made sense for the situation.

I then stopped in my tracks. I looked up to the sky. A smile plastered onto my face as I began laughing. This laugh was sinister. I could feel the evil in it. Is this what they call going insane? Am I losing it?

My thoughts were interrupted by slight movement. Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone move. At that time it was already dark out. I was in a pretty much empty part of town. I looked around for a minute before I found what I saw.

Her. The girl driving me to insanity. She was walking. All by herself at night. She must be heading home from work. I didn't know exactly what do to, but the more I watched her the more the answer became clear.

I need to follow her. Just in case someone tries to jump her. This isn't weird. I'm just looking out for her.

I began walking in her direction. Making sure to stay a reasonable ways away. I didn't want her to notice me. She walked at a fairly quick pace. It was obvious she wanted to get home as soon as possible. I just watched her from behind.

Your pov

I was eager to get home. Most nights I would just get a Uber to take me home, but I felt like walking tonight because I needed the exercise. But something felt off. I couldn't shake the feeling of someone following me. I was getting very creeped out. I turned to look behind me, but nothing. I sped of my pace until I reached my house.

Chrollo's pov

She stoped at a house. Well now I know where she lives. That might come in handy. She walking in and locked the door. Part of me wanted to get closer, but I restrained myself.

I began walking back to the base. That's when I saw a certain someone standing under the light of a post light. A smirk on his face. I stopped in my tracks.

"Hisoka..."
