I turned and ran for the door. I threw it open as I continued to run. The tears never stopped falling the entire time.
It was night time, so it was pretty hard to see. Soon enough I made it to a sidewalk. There was no people around, so I just kept running.
I wanted to go back. I wanted to see Chrollo just one more time. I wanted to know he was save, but I knew I couldn't do any of that. What I needed to focus on now was finding someone to help. Eventually after what felt like hours I found some people.
I saw a man and women sitting in there car. I ran up to the drive side window and tapped on it.
"Dear are you okay?" The older women asked.
"Please I need to get to the police station." I said out of breath.
"Sure miss it's not too far. We'll take you there." Said the man.
"Thank you, thank you so much."
The couple drove me the the police station, which was only about a 5 minute drive. Once I was there I told them who I was.
Apparently my disappearance was a pretty big deal. They had been looking for me ever since I went missing. My friends had reported me missing after I didn't show up to work and they went to my house.
At first the police weren't very helpful, saying I was just another run away, but my friends knew I wasn't like that, so they begged and finally got the police to help.
Every time they looked for clues or hints, they came up empty handed. They said my kidnap was way beyond anything they'd seen before.
Eventually the investigation started to die down. They were about to call my case cold until I showed up at the police station.
I had to go through the whole questioning process. I only told them about Omokage taking me. However I said he took my phone and texted my friends and about me quitting my job. I basically lied through the whole thing. I didn't say anything about Chrollo. I only mentioned Omokage.
Once I got out of question. I was able to see my friends who were waiting. They hugged me. We all started crying as I told them the new version of my story I made up.
After that the police said I could go home for the night as they were gonna go investigate the building. My friends came and stayed the night with me.
When they were all asleep, I laid awake. I went and sat at my window looking at the moon. I twirled the small ring around my finger. I felt a few small tears escape my eyes.
This was all going to be very hard for me. I knew that. Chrollo was my soul mate, and now I wouldn't ever see him again.
The next day I got a call from the police. They found no evidence of Omokage. They didn't find a body either. I wasn't sure if I should feel relieved or worried. It was a mixture of both I suppose.
I let out a sigh as I got off the phone. I love you Chrollo. I don't think I'll ever move on from this.
1 year later
I stood in my kitchen cooking some dinner. By that time it was already dark out. I still lived in my big house alone, for I have not dated anyone since I returned home.
I hadn't really tried. I knew Chrollo was the only one for me. I couldn't just replace him after everything.
I was frying some chicken on the stove, while a hummed the words to a song stuck in my head. I moved around the kitchen and danced as I gathered other ingredients. The moon was full, shining through the window.
The ring Chrollo gave me still placed on my finger. I where it everyday, rarely taking it off. Suddenly that bad feeling came to my stomach. The one you get when you feel another persons presence in a room with you. I tried my best to ignore it. I was just taking the food out of the pan when I heard someone behind me.
"Hello there, beautiful."
I recognized that voice from anywhere. I spun my body around as fast as humanly possible. There right in front of my stood Chrollo. He wore black pants with a white button up. His hair down as well. Tears immediately came to me.
"C-Chrollo? But how? I thought the spell-" Chrollo cut me off by walking closer.
"Whoever said spells can't be broken?" He asked with a smile. I laughed a little through the tears. I jumped into his arms.
He smelt the exact same. His touch was the one thing I'd craved so much the last year. I never forgot how amazing it was just to be around him.
"I missed you so much." He spoke softly. "Also don't worry, I took care of Omokage."
Those words were the only thing I needed to feel relief. I pulled his face into a kiss. That kiss was the only thing that finally brought back the light to my life. The moment seemed the last a lifetime.
We both slightly pulled away. We both placed out foreheads on each other's.
"I love you Chrollo."
"I love you too y/n."
"Never leave me again, promise?" I asked. He laughed slightly.
"Never again."
