Tornado Twins

Kara being nine months into her pregnancy is stressful, mainly for Barry. Constantly speeding in and out of the apartment getting things to satisfy Kara's cravings, and her over emotional states and her constant mood swings.

"Kara, i gotta head to work now." Barry chuckled as Kara's arms gripped around Barry's waist tighter

"No you don't." Kara said looking up at him

"I'm sorry babe, but i have to go." Barry said trying to sit up

"Please don't leave." Kara said pouting

"How else will we pay for our new apartment?" Barry said questioned as Kara's bottom lip began quivering

"You know what, Captain will understand if i'm five minutes late." Barry said making Kara's face light up

"You're the best, love you." Kara said smiling into his chest

"Love you too." Barry chuckled kissing her forehead

Barry and Kara laid in bed enjoying eachother's warmth until a warm sensation crept down Kara's leg. She flipped ove ther covers to see her water had broken

"Barry, my water broke!!" Kara yelled even though he was right next to her

"Oh crap, uhhh, i need to pack the baby bag." Barry said panicking

"Screw the baby bag, put a shirt on and get me to the car." Kara said holding her hip

"Right, sorry." Barry said speeding a shirt on and helping Kara out of the apartment

As they were making there way down the hallway, one of their annoying neighbours that Barry had considered speeding back to the dawn of time came out of her apartment.

"Why are you yelling?" She said with sass, clearly seeing Kara's pregnant belly

"Shut up Brenda, my wife is pregnant." Barry said giving her a dirty look

"And my water broke." Kara said as Brenda scoffed and slammed her door

"This may be the hormones talking but one day i'm going to throw her out of a window." Kara huffed making Barry chuckle as they made their way to their car.

Barry and Kara made their way over to the hospital while Kara was cussing and yelling, making Barry chuckle because any other time Kara is physically incapable of swearing.

"We're nearly there." Barry said making Kara sigh

"Drive faster, who cares if we get pulled over." Kara yelled clutching her stomach

"I would prefer if my wife didn't give birth in the back of a police car." Barry said pulling into the hospital carpark.

Barry helped Kara into the hospital while she was clutching his arm

"My wife is in labour!!" Barry yelled as a bunch of nurses came to Kara's side

"Are you the father?" A nurse asked as Kara scoffed

"Of course he is." Kara said as the nurses led them into a room and laid her on the bed

While she was on the bed her mood swings were made very apparent.

"Barry...it's your fault...i'm in pain." Kara said inbetween pants

"I know i'm sorry." Barry said holding her hand

"I love you please don't leave me." Kara said looking at him with pleading eyes

"I won't, i'll be here." Barry said kissing the back of her hand

The nurses rushed back in and helped Kara through giving borth all while she was screaming and yelling.

"C'mon Kara, you're strong you can do this." Barry said holding her hand as she nearly broke his

After a grueling hour, Barry and Kara were holding their newborn twins in their arms

"You did it." Barry said crying while kissing Kara's cheek

"I did, and i would do it all again." Kara said smiling at her husband then back to Grant in her arms

"You were right, they do have my eyes." Barry said smiling at Melissa

"Barr, i'm hungry." Kara said looking up at him

"Are you saying that so you can have Grant and Melissa to yourself?" Barry asked raising an eyebrow as she smiled innocently

"Yes and no." Kara said as Barry chuckled bobbing Melissa up and down, he was about to Melissa back into her crib but Kara spoke up.

"No please don't leave i can eat later, i just want you to be here." Kara urged making Barry smile, he pulled up a chair next to her bed

"Why are you in a chair?" Kara asked scooting over and patting the spot next to her. Barry smiled and climbed into bed next to her, she smiled and rested her head against his chest while craddling Grant in her arms. As soon as she fell asleep Barry carried Melissa and Grant into their cribs and sped back home to tell Joe. Barry breached to Earth-1 and landed right in the middle of the Cortex, as team Flash were trying to stop a criminal.

"Perfect timing, Barry can you help Wally?" Cisco asked as Barry shook his head

"Kara just gave birth, and i think Grant and Melissa need to meet their grandpa Joe." Barry said as a wide grin grew across Joe's face

"Wait Grant and Melissa? Did you two have twins?" Caitlin asked as Barry smiled and nodded

"Best of both worlds." Barry said smiling as he and Joe breached back to Earth-10

Joe and Barry landed back in Barry and Kara's apartment, against Joe's wishes Barry sped them both over to the hospital. Joe hated being sped around by Barry but this time was different, the sooner he saw his grandchildren the better. They entered Kara's hospital room and saw her peacefully sleeping while mumbling something, Barry smiled and kissed Kara's forehead making her smile in her sleep.

"Where are they?" Joe asked as Barry pointed to the cribs, Joe smiled and walked over seeing Grant and Melissa sleeping and fidgeting.

"They look exactly like you Barr." Joe said trying not to cry but failing miserably.

"That's what Kara said." Barry chuckled sitting on the bed while stroking her hair as she stirred in her sleep.

"Barr, i love.....potstickers." Kara mumbled making Barry chuckle and kiss her cheek. He got up and walked over to the cribs picking Grant up in his arms

"Wanna hold him?" Barry asked as Joe smiled and nodded, Barry carefully handed Grant to Joe as Joe smiled at him

"What about Henry?" Joe asked 

"We're visiting Eliza and my Dad tomorrow." Barry said as Kara sat up

"Hi Joe." Kara waved as she rubbed her eyes

"Hey Kara." Joe said handing Grant back to Barry

"Why are you over there and not here?" Kara asked Barry as he chuckled putting Grant back in his crib and sitting next to Kara as she smiled and wrapped her arms around him.

"I'll leave you two alone." Joe chuckled as Barry smiled at him and he tossed the extrapolator to him. Joe breached back to Earth-1 as Kara and Barry just sat there in a comfortable silence, while admiring their children

"Reckon they'll become heroes?" Barry asked as Kara nodded

"Oh they can be called the Tornado Twins." Kara said excitedly

"I can't imagine you're going to be this excited when they go on the field." Barry said as Kara shook her head

"Nope, but i can only hope that they'll have help from a certain superhero." Kara said as Barry sighed

"Maybe, Kara, maybe." Barry said kissing her temple and looking back at his children.
