Visiting Roots (Part 2)

Barry, Kara, Grant and Melissa were teleported back to Earth-10 and their apartment. 

"We're home!!!" Melissa said excitedly, "Now we can visit Grandpa Joe." She said facing her parents with a smile

"Yeah, but maybe we can have some family time before we can visit joe." Kara suggested making Grant's face light up.

"Sounds like an awesome idea honey." Barry said kissing her temple

"That Barry that was an assassin was so cool." Grant said like a little kid as his dad frowned a bit

"Really?" Barry joked sadly

"But i never said he was cooler than you dad." Grant said smiling, "But i wonder who would win in a fight?" He said zoning out slightly

"Dad." Melissa nodded

"Yup, my husband would kick his ass." Kara giggled as Barry smiled at her

"Thanks babe." He chuckled

A siren was heard blaring through the city as Kara sighed sadly

"Every time we want to spend time together, something alays interupts us." She frowned as she felt a gust of wind. Grant and Melissa used their flash rings and sped into their suits and showed this time period the heroes of the future. Impulse and XS. They bolted through the streets with purple and yellow lightning being seen by nearby bystanders. They made quick work of every criminal in the city before coming back to their parents.

"Done." Melissa smiled dusting her hands off

"Wha-what happened?" Kara asked confused

"Me and Melly just stopped every criminal in the city, and now we have all the time in the world to spend with eachother mom." Grant said smiling

"You two are the best." Kara said smiling bringing her children into a hug

"Mom....s-super strength." Grant muttered as she quickly let go

"I'm sorry, are you two ok?" She asked concerned as they smiled and nodded

"Mom we have super healing." Melissa giggled resting her head on Kara's shoulder, "We can go now." Melissa said excitedly

"Can we visit Grandpa Joe first?" Grant asked yanking on Kara's arm like a little kid

"Of course." Kara smiled as Barry opened a breach. They quickly picked up baby Grant and Melissa before walking through the breach back onto Earth-1. They decided walking would be better instead of speeding mainly because they didn't want to affect teenage Grant and Melissa by negatively affecting baby Grant and Melissa. They knocked on Joe's door and hear the shuffling if feet until the door opened and Joe was their with a big smile on his face.

"Hi Papa Joe." Melissa said giving him a tight hug

"Papa?" Joe questioned 

"Joe, this is Grant and Melissa from the future they're here to save me from dying in a Crisis." Barry chuckled as Grant nodded and smiled

"Get in here kid." Joe chuckled as Grant joined the hug with his sister and grandpa, "Is this as weird for you as it is for me?" Joe chuckled

"Yeah, noramlly you have a lot of white hair and wrinkles." Melissa giggled

"You'll have those as well." Joe chuckled, "You'll know when you have grandchildren of your own." He said smiling

"That means she needs to have children first." Grant teased as she slapped his shoulder

"I would be a better mother than you would be a father." She pouted

"Maybe we can argue about this later, we're here to relax." Barry chuckled as his children reluctantly nodded, but this competition was far from over.

"So where's Ceclie?" Kara asked

"She's in Coast City visiting her parents." Joe said sitting in his favourite chair, "I will admit ever since you left Barr, we've been lonely here on Earth-1, you were the one who managed to get Caitlin to let loose, you were Cisco's bestfriend and you were the nerdy person that explained all the nerd stuff to me and Iris and i guess ever since you left Team Flash has slowly been drifting apart." Joe finished as Barry smiled.

"I can fix that." He smiled as he sped out of the house and came back with Cisco, Caitlin and Iris.

"Warning next time." Cisco said with his hand over his heart

"Sorry dude, but Joe told me Team Flash has been drifting apart in my absence, and i can't let that happen because you guys are family to me." Barry chuckled

"Same with us." Grant waved

"Who are you and why do you look like a mix between Kara and Barry?" Cisco asked

"I'm Grant and the weird girl is my twin sister Melissa." Grant joked as Melissa threw a pillow at his head

"Wait....as in that Grant and Melissa?" Caitlin asked pointing to baby Grant and Melissa

"Yup." Melissa nodded, "We time travlled to save dad from Crisis." She said smiling sadly

"Hey it's okay." Kara said kissing her daughter's temple, "He's not going to die." She reassured as Melissa held onto her mom tightly

"Promise?" She asked on the verge of tears. Talking about Crisis brought up too many harsh memories.

"I promise, both of you that i'll never leave you ever again." Barry said as Melissa and Grant nodded

"I love you dad." Grant smiled

"I love you too, both of you." He smiled

"Can we go for drinks?" Iris asked as everyone nodded

"Don't worry Barry i've got your special drink and it should work on Kara, it'll also work on Grant and Melissa." Caitlin smiled

"Nope, nope, nope, my babies are drinking at all." Kara said in her 'mom' tone

"Mom we're teenagers." Grant sighed

"But you'll always be my babies." Kara smiled as Melissa rested her head on Kara's shoulder

"Please mom, we can't even get drunk and the whole point on coming here was to bond and spend time with each other, and you're the one complaining that we don't have enough family time." Melissa said with her puppy dog look that could break even Oliver Queen

"Fine, i hope i'm ont this easy to persuade in the future." Kara chuckled

"You most certainly are." Grant said as Kara frowned a bit

"Don't worry honey, you'll always be an awesome mother." Barry said kissing her temple

"Yup." Melissa said. No matter the situation Kara was always the perfect mother, even when she wanted to break down, when she wanted to curse at the world for taking away her husband she always put her children first, because that's what Barry would of wanted.
