Are you busy? Let's talk.

My forehead creased when I saw Ralph's message. We don't usually talk, ilang beses pa lang kaming nagkaka-usap kaya nagtataka ako kung bakit niya ako gustong makausap ngayon.

I'm finally letting them to be happy together. If he's really the one for Janine, then, I'd be happy for them. I only want Janine to be happy because that's what she deserves. I'm okay even if it's not with me anymore. I'm already thankful for her for giving me Kenzo so I should let her choose what makes her happy.

Even if I don't have any idea why he texted me, I stood up and went to Kenzo who's sitting on the sofa while playing on his ipad.

"Kenzo." Tawag ko kaya napunta sa akin ang kaniyang atensyon.

"Dito ka muna, okay? I'll just meet someone. I'll be back." Sabi ko at tumango naman siya. Binalik niya ang atensyon niya sa kaniyang ipad at lumabas na ako ng opisina ko.

"Ynna."

"Yes, sir?"

"Ikaw muna ang bahala kay Kenzo. If Janine comes here, let her."

"Yes, sir." Aniya.

Bumaba na ako sa parking at sumakay sa aking sasakyan. Buti na lang at wala akong meeting ngayon. I drove to the park where he wants to talk.

When I arrived, I looked for him. Naglakad-lakad ako hanggang sa nahanap ko siyang nakaupo sa bench. He's not alone.

He's with Janine.

They are talking and laughing. I looked away.

Damn.

They looked so happy. Why am I here? Para saan ba't tinawag ako ni Ralphael dito? Para makita ko kung gaano sila kasaya ngayon? Para makita ko na sila naman talaga dapat para sa isa't isa?

And with that, I suddenly remember how Janine did everything to make him stay.

"Shouldn't we fulfill the promise we made?" I asked. I saw how her eyes widened when I said that. She was so surprised.

"Some promises are not meant to be fulfilled, Mark." I felt pain when she said those words. Things changed, huh? Before, she's all smiles when we're talking about the future together. But right now, parang hindi na siya 'yung Janine na kilala ko noon.

"Uhm. I'll just go to the cr. Excuse me." Aniya. Tumango na lamang ako at hindi nagsalita. I was speechless with what she said.

Tumunog ang kaniyang cellphone na iniwan niya sa ibabaw ng mesa. There was a text message. Kinuha ko ang kaniyang cellphone at binuksan iyon.

From: Ashley

Where are you? Ralph needs you.

Iyon ang nasa text. Napakunot naman ang noo ko. Who's Ralph?

I sighed when I realized something.

Nang makita ko siyang palapit ay hinila ko na siya palabas ng restaurant.

"Who's Ralph?" Natigilan siya sa tanong ko.

"Mark. He's. He's..."

"He's what? Bakit hindi mo masabi?"

"He's my boyfriend." I am expecting this pero nagulat pa rin ako sa nalaman.

I was so mad for what she did. She didn't tell me that she's already with someone else. Mas lalo akong nagalit nang sinabi niyang hindi ako kilala ng boyfriend niya. It was so upsetting knowing that she already have a boyfriend yet she's going out with me. Ayokong manira ng relasyon ng iba.
