Chapter 6 - the best surprise

It's been a year since I got married to Lucifer, and it has been the best year ever we've made so memories together that we had to buy another photo album for all of them to go in, now the year was going to change very suddenly with an unexpected surprise.

One morning I was getting out of bed and I suddenly felt very sick that I had to run to the bathroom to throw up in it, and while I was in there I suddenly became very tired and I was thinking to myself "how can I be tired I've only just woken up maybe I just need an early night tonight" so once I came out of the bathroom I made my way to breakfast.

Once I was in there they all of my brother-in-law's looked at me when I sat down and that's when Asmo said "Charlie where have you been" I didn’t want to tell them that I was sick in the loo because that would only make them worry about me so I replied

"Sorry I had to nip to the loo before I came down, don’t think you wanted a puddle on the floor do you" the all laughed and returned to eating that's when Beel placed his plate down in front of me and the smell hit me so hard that I had to leave the room rather quickly otherwise I would've been sick all of the table I stood up and ran out of the room towards my bathroom.

While I was in the bathroom I heard a knock at the door and at that moment I heard "darling are you alright" just at that moment I was sick and the sound echoed the whole bathroom and I said

"Blech, yeah I'm fine just feel a bit sick that's all"

"Sounds to me that you are sick aren't you"

"Honestly Lucifer, I'm fine I just need a bit of fresh air that's all" just as I was coming out of the bathroom I was towards him and before I could go any further he placed his hand on my forehead and said

"You young lady are not going anywhere"

"And why not" I said flooding my arms

"Because you have a slight fever, and don’t want it to get worse" I couldn't resist that concerned face he gave me so I gave in

"Okay, I'll stay home today" and with that Lucifer lifted me up and placed me back into bed, once I was in bed he told me hell be back to check on my later, and I fell back to sleep.

I woke up three hours later feeling very relaxed and calm after my sleep and I woke up feeling very hungry so I made my way down towards the kitchen once I had the kitchen I heard that someone was in there and I thought that it was Beel but to my surprise it was Belphie, he saw me come in and said "Charlie what are you doing here, your supposed to be in bed" I looked at him and said

"I know I am but I got very hungry, so I thought I'd raid the fridge to see what there is to eat" he laughed and replied

"I don’t think there is a lot in there I mean I think Beel has eaten most of the good stuff in there" I opened the fridge and pulled out something that I'd not normally eat and I started to eat it Belphie looked at me and said 

"Charlie you wouldn’t normally eat that so why are you eating it" I looked at it and said

" I Know, but I'm craving it so badly that I need to eat it" I carry on eating it, then I stopped and thought about my mother when she was pregnant with my sister and how she went through the same things I have, I dropped my food, Belphie looked at me and I said to him "Belphie could you help me get back to bed please, something isn’t right with me"

"Of course I will, here take my arm and I'll support you" I held on to his arm and we made our way up to my room we were about half way when I felt really light headed and I nearly fell over Belphie caught me again just as Barbatos was walking by he noticed me and Belphie and said

"Belphie what's wrong with Charlie" he replied

"I don’t know she was in the kitchen eating and then she dropped her food and asked if she could be taken to her room and now she nearly collapsed" Barbatos looked at me and said to Belphie

"I'll send for the royal doctor to take a look at her will you stay with her until then Belphie"

"Of course I will" Barbatos left us and we carried on to my room, once they were there he helped me into bed and I said

"Belphie will you hold my hand until we find out what's wrong" he nodded his head and he sat by the bedside holding my hand until we found out what was wrong with me.

The doctor came in no time at all he told Belphie to stand aside but he said "I cant I promised that I'd hold her hand until the end" and with that the doctor carried on asking me questions

"Have you been tired at all Charlie"

"Yeah I've been getting out of breath a lot"

"Any other symptoms"

"I've been pit off by certain foods, I've had a slight fever, I’ve almost collapsed and I've been sick"

"And when did these symptoms start Charlie"

"Most of them started to day but I've been feeling tired for quite a while now" he was writing down his notes then he said

"Do you mind if I do an examination just to help with the diagnosis"

"Sure, Belphie you can wait outside if you want" he let go and stated to walk out when he said

"You sure you'll be okay" I nodded and he left the room, the doctor asked me if I could lift my shirt up to listen and feel my stomach he put a stethoscope on my stomach and listened after a while he told me to pull my shirt down and began to write his notes down the he looked at me and I said

"So what's the diagnosis then doctor" he smiled and said

"I think congratulations is in order for you Charlie"

"Why congratulations" he smiled the replied

"You are three months pregnant" I sat there opened mouthed for a moment and then I let out a scream of happiness and Belphie came running in to the room that’s  when the doctor said "I'll leave you to break the news Charlie" and he left so Belphie sat down and said

"So what's wrong Charlie" I smile at him and replied

"I'm three months pregnant Belphie, your going to be an uncle" he looked at me and hugged me for dear life and said

"I'm really going to be and uncle" I nodded and the first thing he did was place his hand on my stomach and said "your going to have a lot of uncles who will care for you" I smiled I was very happy that's when I said

"Belphie don’t tell anyone else, let me tell Lucifer first then I'll make an announcement" he nodded and left me to rest. I couldn't believe it that I was going to be a mum and Lucifer was going to be a dad, but all of a sudden I had a wave of uncertainty rush all over me I was thinking "what if Lucifer gets angry, what if he doesn't want to be a dad, what if he wants me to get rid of the baby" all or this was going around in my head and before I realised I was pacing around the room when Lucifer came in and started me when he said

"Didn’t I tell you to stay in bed Charlie" I jumped when he spoke and clutched my stomach because I was so shocked at his entrance I replied

"Lucifer, there is something I need to tell you"

"Sure what's up"

"Well earlier today I had the doctor visit me today" he jumped of the chair and said

"What why wasn't I called are you okay what's wrong" I took his hand and said

"There is nothing seriously wrong with me" he sighed with relief and then I said "but this maybe a surprise for you" I placed his hand on my stomach and smiled he looked at me and I said looking down at my stomach "what do you think little one shall we make daddy guess or shall I tell him" I looked up and saw him with a tear in his eye and then he said

"Are you pregnant Charlie" I looked at him and smiled then he got off the bed belt down in front of me and kissed my stomach and said "don’t worry mummy doesn't need to tell me, I found out myself" he got back off of the floor and kissed me with pure delight in the kiss and said "I'm so happy Charlie, this is the best surprise ever" I blushed and then we decided to gather everyone into the dining room to tell them our news about the baby.

Once we got to the dining room we didn’t have to gather anyone they were all there, I got inside with a big grin on my face and Asmo said "What's wrong Charlie, you look very happy" everyone noticed how happy Lucifer and I was that when Diavolo said

"I've never seen Lucifer look so happy so what's happened" I looked at Lucifer and he looked at me and I said

"Well Lucifer and I have an announcement to make" that's when Lucifer said

"Yes, why don’t you tell them Charlie" I nodded and said

"Okay, so in a few months time there is going to be a lot of late night for Lucifer and I and you guys may get woken up a lot" I looked over at Belphie who was smiling because he already knew then Asmo screamed with delight and said

"Charlie are you pregnant" I nodded my head and Asmo hugged me for dear life and said "congratulations both of you" Mammon suddenly got very protective overcome and pulled Amos off of me and said

"Come on Asmo don’t hug her so tightly, something bad could happen" Levi said to me

"Charlie if you don’t mind can touch your stomach please"

"Sure" he came over to me and he went to touch but hesitated so I took his hand and placed it on my stomach for him, he looked so happy by the touch of my stomach Diavolo came over to us with Barbatos and he shook hands with Lucifer and Barbatos said

"how far are you Charlie"

"I'm three months pregnant" Diavolo laughed and said

"Looks like all of us are going to be very busy when the baby arrives" everyone starts laughing and joking that's when beel took me aside and said

"Charlie, I'm very happy that I get to be an uncle and I want to say that I'd like to help anyway I can" I hugged him with delight and we went back and I could tell on everyone faces that this was the best surprise ever.
