Chris:

The dreaming state is one of the best and worst states of mind a person can be in. It's the best because when you dream you're free, free to explore just about anything and anywhere. When you dream your soul is free to venture out to just about anywhere you want to go. In the dream state your fantasy is your reality, But when the reality hits you and you wake up and realize your back in the real world and your venture was nothing but a state of your imagination, the form of a dream that seemed so real. You could swear that everything that happened in your dream happened in real life, that everything you touched in your dream you touched in real life, every damn emotion you felt in your dream, you felt in real life! That's what sucks the fact that dreams seem so real.

Me personally, I hate dreams, dreams are nothing but a mind fuck.

Dreams suck.

I'd much rather a nightmare, at least that way when you wake up you feel relieved instead of disappointed in the outcome

"Chris! Chris! Get up!!" I could hear someone shaking me awake. I slowly opened my eyes and through my blurred vision I could see Mama sitting in front of looking down at me "Chris please don't tell me you've been asleep this whole time!" she said, her voice seemed so much louder than it usually did.

"What time is it?" I mumbled sitting up and clearing my throat.

"Nearly 6pm! You didn't go did you?" she asked with a sigh, I rubbed the sleep from my eyes my vision becoming somewhat clear

"Go where?" I asked obliviously; sleep still consuming my body

"To see Jhene!"

"Oh yeah, Nah" I mumbled again "Nah imma go now" I said as I swung my feet of the couch and took a minute before I stood up, I hadn't even realized just how long I'd been asleep for I must have been tired as hell that's for sure. But that dream had me fucked up; it felt so damn real, like I legit felt like I was having a real conversation with Jhene.

Mama sighed and left out the room leaving me alone once again, I went downstairs to my room and took a quick shower then dressed in a simple white tee and some sweats, shit I wasn't trying to impress anybody and besides these where the only clothes I really had left over here, everything else was up at my crib, so right now this would have to do.

I fitted my feet into some Adidas and laced them up before grabbing my black beanie from the couch and fitting it onto my head, grabbed my phones the headed back upstairs to head out,

"Ma I'm out" I yelled as I walked towards the door

"Chris, remember what we spoke about!" Mama reminded as she emerged from the kitchen

"Yeah, yeah" I mumbled

"No seriously Chris, remember keep your cool!"

"Aight ma, I'm out!" I repeated as I opened up the door and left out.

It took about half hour for me to just get into the city then another 15 minutes for me to finally get to Jhene's dads house, it was rush hour so traffic was something serious, it felt weird pulling up in her driveway. It was something I hadn't done in over a year, but this situation felt like some serious déjà vu

I parked my car at the beginning of the driveway behind the same black Audi from the store that day, the same one in my dream also and then got out and shut in the door making my way up to the walkway onto the porch. Once I reached the steps I stopped and coached myself on what I was about to say and how I was about to go about this whole situation, Judging my dream, if shit went like that I knew I'd be good. We'd argue a bit but eventually come to a mutual understanding. At least that's what I was hoping for, but reality's a bitch so I knew to prepare for the worst.
