Chapter 14

Justin has been tearing at himself for the past few hours, going through the pros and cons about letting someone like that asshole--uhm---Ethan---be anywhere near him. It has been a simple process of seeing the good side of the situation, and the bad side of the situation, and yet he was still at a lost.

The con would be everything that could go wrong, would go wrong. And as to what that entails; Justin had no idea.

As for the pro...he had nothing. He couldn't see anything good or useful being had with that guy and was all for the con 100%.

But then the unnerving and unwelcomed thought of Justin turning him down and he could practically picture the guy pestering and annoying him over and over until Justin snapped and he damn as hell didn't want that.

He wanted to leave this dirtbag town behind in the dust with a clean slate and no ghosts coming to haunt him in the near future.

Plus just the thought of Ethan hanging around him in the shadows like some creepy stalker (not that he isn't already but just that this time Justin will be acutely aware of it), was enough to make him want to yeild and let the kid do whatever he wanted to.

Throwing the dog a bone and all that.

He figured Ethan would get bored eventually and all his curiosity about him will fade. Like, why wouldn't it?

Justin isn't all that special. Just some dreary orphaned foster kid who likes to hang in the shadows and doesn't like to be bothered. All of Ethan's sudden interest and intrigue in Justin will evaporate like water particles on a hot summer day the moment Ethan realises that. And then Justin will be able the live the rest of his lone wolf life in peace.

With that idea solid in his mind, Justin mentally nodded at himself and went about the rest of his school day. He wasn't really looking forward to the end of the day, but honestly, he didn't really care. He just wanted to make Ethan realise very quickly how he was the most boring and uninterested individual in the entire world, so he can move on to the rest of his life and view this day in future years to come, as a mere stumbling block to his peaceful future life.

**********
Ethan has been vibrating excitement practically the whole day. He was going to be spending time with Justin later and maybe figure out what makes the guy tick. It was all apart of his master plan.

He will spend time with him, charm him and make him see what a privilege he was getting. To be hanging out with THE Ethan Bonavich. It is an honour and Ethan was determined to make him see that.

Ethan left class the moment it was dismissed and hurried to his locker for his stuff. He had wanted to have Justin meet by the lockers instead of the gate, but figured he needed to have the boy feel like he still had a choice. You know, to not feel trapped; hence, the gates. He was apprehensive about this decision, but he needed to see how far of a button he can press with this kid before he went into action.

After collecting his stuff, Justin hurried a little to go outside feeling like if he leaved Justin too long, the kid might run away. He didn't even spare a passing glance to the other people vying for his attention. it happened everyday and if Ethan was honest, he was bored. Terribly bored of them all throwing themselves at him, and not even having the slightest brain capacity to think for themselves in his presence. It was alittle annoying and so so boring.

That's why he is slightly grateful for Justin. The boy didn't even spare him a passing glance (and though he has a feeling that Justin is only acting) it made him excited to finally find someone he can toy with, who seems to want nothing to do with him. He can picture the moment he breaks down his shields and find An Ethan worshipper.

He grinned victoriously. "Yes the days from now will be something to look forward to."

He hurried his pace slightly once he placed his books in his locker. Looking up he saw Justin just outside the gates staring down the street. He could tell by his slight shuffling that Justin was contemplating just leaving.

"Justin!", Ethan called. He was determined to not make the boy escape. Said boy looked up and though his expression didn't change, Ethan could tell he wanted to be anywhere but here. Ethan grinned widely.

"You ready to go?", he asked rhetorically. Justin huffed a slight breath and walked ahead of him.

Ethan hurried his pace until they were side by side. "So how was you're class today?", he asked receiving no response. "Probably good. Mine was crap", he chuckled humourlessly. "I had College Mathematics. I know I know. 'But you're still in highschool!' Try telling that to my dad. He's determined to make me pass as much advanced level subjects as possible". Ethan continued his onesided conversation.

He had to admit. Practically talking to himself in public was kind of awkward, but for some reason he didn't really mind. Maybe because he knew he could vent all he wanted and Justin wouldn't interrupt, or because he knew he wouldn't say anything to anyone, he didn't know. All he knew was that he was comfortable. And he can hardly remember the last time he felt like that.

After two minutes Ethan realised they weren't heading to the dinèr he knew Justin worked at.

"Hey Justin, aren't you going to work today?", he asked curiously. He didn't know why he cared if Justin went to work or not. If he wanted to skip and get fired, it shouldn't be his problem. But he didn't want Justin being fired his fault.

Justin turned his bored stare towards Ethan and gave a quick, short nod of his head.

Ethan eyed him confused. "But we're going the wrong way. Isn't the dinèr to the right across Steward's street instead of on Kirk's avenue?".

Justin shrugged careless and continued walking. Ethan looked at him disbelieving. He's really skipping work? Doesn't he need the money? I mean look at him. Obviously he do.

They walked a little farther until they came to a stop infront of the library. "Oh! You had research to do. You know you could've just said that", Ethan chastised.

Justin ignored him and walked into the building, seeing the librarians clerk around the desk, he went up to her so she could clock him in.

"Good afternoon Justin, today I just need you to stack the books back on there correct shelves in proper order and then you can leave", she said. He stared at her with his unexpressive face and she started to squirm nervous. Ethan, seeing this, approached the desk.

"Justin can you just relax. And why didn't you tell me you had another job?". If Justin would, Ethan swore he would've given him a duh look.

The girl at the desk looked towards Ethan gratefully when Justin walked away from them, and seeing who it was, her eyes sparkled in interest making Ethan sigh. It was going to be a long day.

A/n- Finally finish chapter 14. You don't know how long i've been working on this. I just don't know what's wrong with me. I've been working on other unpublished books instead of this and they have more chapters and take less time to write instead of this. I hope i'm not losing inspiration.
Anyways The chapters from hereon out will be getting a little longer so you have that to look forward to. Toddles✨
