"did you know?" hyein turned her head to the side as she hums out as her reply since she was unable to speak while munching on her lunch
"the students, especially the girls went crazy when they saw you came out of the same car as chenle" hyein only nods her head as she wore an unamused expression
she swallowed down the food before replying, "how could i not know.. everyone literally bore their eyes into me"
hyein muttered the last sentence as she played around with her food while remembering the stares earlier this morning and how uncomfortable it made her. sowon noticed how down her friend got so she put on a comforting smile before patting her shoulder
"they're just jealous of you, don't think of it too much and besides.." hyein averts her eyes from the ground to sowon who was wearing a smug grin, waiting for sowon to continue her words.
"if any of them dares to touch you.. this bad b will smack them away"
hyein's expressionless face immediately distorted to a smile as a snort left her lips. she couldn't help but shake her head at the sight of sowon proudly saying that with sternness evident in her tone not to mention, how she excessively slapped the air with her hands which looked so comical in hyein's eyes
sowon only giggled at seeing her friend's reaction, she's happy that she brought hyein's mood back up.
"what would i do without you, han sowon~" "i know right"
the two teenagers only shared another laugh together before continuing to eat as they continued their conversations with a few different topics. just then, a sudden memory crossed hyein's mind which she decided to bring up
"chenle asked me a weird question yesterday.." "what was it?"
hyein stopped eating and placed down her utensils. sowon eyed her actions and immediately knows that this will be a serious matter so she also placed down her utensils. the two had the same thought as they simultaneously turned aside so they'll face each other
sowon noticed hyein's unsure face and gestured her to just spill the tea.
"he asked me if i have a boyfriend"
sowon was silent for a few seconds before chortling which made hyein frowned at her. in between her little laughter, sowon managed to ask, "is he interested in you or what?"
hyein shrugs before shaking her head at sowon as she wore an expressionless face,
"i highly doubt that" sowon noticed hyein's sudden change of mood which alarmed her. "why?"
