hyein broke out of her trance as her eyes blinked repeatedly before turning her head towards chenle, her hands were still positioned on gripping each side of the tray - not noticing that the tray has already been placed by her
chenle tilted his head slightly as he shifted closer towards her - scanning her face that seems troubled. hyein gave the male an assuring smile as she shakes her head before facing away to grab his food and sat down on the seat beside his bed
knowing that chenle would ask her to feed him, hyein began to slowly mix the food together - ignoring chenle's stare on her
noticing her silence not to mention the fake smile she gave him seconds ago, chenle began to worry about the girl. his eyes followed her delicate hands as it scooped a spoonful of food before holding it up to the front of his face,
his eyes moved from the food to her eyes, chenle's gaze softened at seeing how blank yet captivating those brown orbs were as she was staring back at him
"did something happen? you look troub-"
chenle got cut off from hyein's hand that suddenly moved the spoon forward - just an inch away from his lips, her sudden action startled him but he still remained a calm manner.
chenle became unsure on what to do, his eyes flickered between the food and hyein - as much as he wants to eat, he would still prefer to get answers first so he only shook his head at her
hyein pursed her lips at the stubborn male before urging him to eat with the spoon in her hand, "eat first"
chenle debated on following her words or not but in the end, he gave in. chenle opened his mouth and hyein began to feed him, seeing he already started to munch on his food - hyein retracted her hand and scooped another spoonful for his next bite,
as she waited for him to finish, she began to drown deep in her thoughts - to the point she didn't notice that chenle was already finished
seeing her bothered face made a faint frown appear on his face. he knows her, hyein will only start talking if she wants to - so being the gentleman he is, he began to wait for her.
he busied himself with drawing little patterns on his blanket until a light sigh that escaped her lips caught his attention instantly, chenle raised his head from his lap to see hyein already looking at him with a sad smile on her face
the frown on his face became even more visible at seeing her sad smile as hyein gripped the spoon tightly in her hand and moved it towards his mouth
he hesitatingly opens his mouth as hyein began,
"my mom called me earlier.."
hyein had her eyes elsewhere but she knew chenle already gave her his full attention, so she kept on talking
