the long awaited day of each week has come, saturday. chenle took today as an opportunity to rest before the finals tomorrow so he already planned to just laze around and maybe continue a talk that was left unfinished with hyein
but turns out, the other person already had different plans
"are you going somewhere?" chenle curiously asks as he eyed the girl who's running down the stairs hurriedly as if she's late and has somewhere to be
"hm?" she hums as a reply - not catching what he said earlier because she was busy cursing at herself for being an unpunctual person
the male was about to repeat his question but seeing her running all over the place made him close his mouth shut and just sink lower to the sofa while tightening his hug around the pillow - already upset that he didn't even get a glance from the girl
checking her appearance once again in the mirror near the tv, she brushes her hair lightly before turning around to face the male. not noticing the displeased expression on his face, she waved her hands to catch his attention
"what" chenle monotonously replied without taking his eyes off the tv and once again, hyein didn't notice the dark clouds hovering above him.
"i'm gonna go out and i'll be back a bit late" she replied
a part of chenle wanted to ask lots of questions such as where are you going, who are you going with, what time will you get back, etc but also a part of him feels it's better to not know
and he listened to the latter
"okay"
finally coming into her senses, hyein noticed how dull his voice sounded and hearing his short answers just concerned her more. she debated on asking if something's wrong or not but remembering she was already running late
she decided to just ask him later and hope it's nothing much

guanlin shifted his foot to the other as he raised his arm to check his watch before letting out a tired sigh
'it's almost 30 minutes'
his arm fell back to his side as his head's raised while looking around - savoring the scenery around him. as his eyes roam around, he caught an adorable sight which made his lips curve into a small smile - two children sharing their cotton candies together as they walked side by side.
but then his eyes caught something, someone walking not far from the children. another sigh escaped his lips as he shook his head at the person before raising his hand - waving it to get the person's attention
