the male let out a tired sigh as he continued to pack his necessities for practice later while ignoring hyein's loud calls. he zips his gym bag closed before placing the strap over his shoulder and made his way to the door
hyein who didn't hear his footsteps just came walking through the door - bumping straight to his chest. due to height differences, chenle looked down as he shook his head at the girl who's busy rubbing her forehead from the impact.
feeling a stare directed at her, hyein looks up and scowled at the amused male before grabbing his arm to make him walk with her.
chenle stayed silent as he let hyein drag him downstairs with lots of complaints kept coming out of her mouth. the male couldn't focus on her words as his eyes were directed to her hand on his, just a simple action like that warmed chenle's heart - a literal softie.
he didn't even notice they've already reached his car until he felt he couldn't breath all of the sudden. his panicked eyes stared at hyein's mischievous face as he repeatedly slapped her arm so she would release her pinch on his nose.
as soon as hyein released her fingers, chenle immediately gasped for breath as his chest rose up and down to get his breathing even. his bewilderment was showcased through the disbelief look on his face which hyein only returned with an innocent smile
"i thought you died or something, so i had to check"
"i'm sure there are other safer ways to check if someone's dead or not hyein"
hyein let out a a light laugh at how chenle emphasized 'safer' before replying,
"that's true.."
chenle rose a brow at her pause, he felt curious about what her next words are especially with that teasing grin on her face which irked him
"that was the only thing i could think of"
hyein gave him another innocent smile before skipping her way around the car towards the passenger seat with chenle's disbelief eyes following her.
he was too bewildered to move until he heard hyein calling him,
"oi loser who's the captain! come on, we don't have all day"
