Thank god, I just got myself out that situation. I just can't stand having to talk to him, it's daunting. I just can't be chilled out about it all! Maybe I'm going over the top. I just want to scream!

As I'm running to the school library to do some 'homework', I bump in to a dark skinned and well, no offence to her, a very large lady.

"Hey! Watch it boy!" She yells

"Oh, sorry, sorry, I didn't see you" I say, as if I'm in a nervous wreck

"I suppose it's alright boy. So, where your ruinnin' to, huh?" She says with a strong American accent

"Well....I er-....I wanted to avoid a friend" I replied

"I get ya'. Believe it or not, I was young before" She says cheerfully

I laugh along with the lady. She seems friendly. Maybe I could talk to her, after all, I am pretty desperate to talk to someone!

"So, whats your name kid?" She asks

"Liam" I reply

"Well, my name is Nancy, nice to meet ya' Liam" She says in a friendly tone

"Nice to meet you too. I just want to ask, who are you?" I ask

"I'm one of the school cleaners! Famous for nothing yet hard working" She says, laughing along.

"Oh cool. I've gotta go Nancy, I'll talk to you later, I guess?" I said

"Sure thing kid. Liam, if you need me, I'll be around to talk anytime" She says warmly.

This might be weird but I think I found a new friend...probably about 30 years older than me, if not more! Friends are friends I suppose.

Later that day, I meet Jenny for lunch. I'm glad Connor isn't around, I still cannot think of the disaster I would create by simply talking to Connor

"Liam, why did you leave earlier?" Jenny asks

"I don't know...Well, it was nothing I mean" I say anxiously

"There is something. I can read you like a book" She says in a tone, suspecting an answer

"It's Connor..." I say sadly

"Oh is it? You can tell me Liam" Jenny says, putting her hand around my shoulder

"I invited him around my house a little while ago and while in my room, I think he tried holding my hand" I say quietly

"Oh....Maybe he likes you? It's slightly unfortunate for him, after all you aren't really gay" She says jokingly

"Ha, yea, I'm straight, you're right there" I say awkwardly. I laugh along with her to eliminate suspicion of her 'gaydar' going mad.
