Fairy Tail One Shots (x Reader)

Laxus x OC

Running. Its what I was most good at. Whenever I was mad I ran.Whenever I was sad I ran. Or just whenever I was bored, I ran.

This time however, I was a combination of all three.

I ran around the outskirts of Magnolia, trying to get that stupid ass out of my mind.

"How dare he say I'm weak." I huffed to myself as my feet pounded against the dirt. "How dare he say I'm useless!" With that I forced myself to go faster. My chest was hurting from my lungs begging for more oxygen but I needed to keep going.

"If I can't finish this run then I am weak and I am useless." My blonde hair was racing behind me moving along with my dramatic movements. Sweat raced down from my forehead and dripped off my chin onto my chest. My breathing was quick but paced and my heart was beating at an incredible rate. No matter how hard I tried that idiots words still lingered in my mind.

"Lucianne!" I heard a peppy blonde yell as I walked into the guild. I smiled and waved as I walked up to her and her pink haired partner. "What are you up to?"

"Nothing, just bored. I was going to go for a run but figured I'd check out what's going on around here first." Lucy nodded and then beamed once more.

"I know! Why not go on a job with us?" She smiled and Natsu and Happy agreed but I placed my hands out and declined.

"That's sweet but I just finished a job so I'm still kinda tired. I'd hate to slow you down." They nodded in understanding and I heard a snort come from behind me. Turning around I saw the tall, arrogant and annoyingly handsome lightning dragon slayer. With a sly smile he stood up and walked over to us.

"As if that's the real reason." Placing my hands on my hips, I asked what he meant which only caused him to scoff. "It's because you know you're weak and you'd hold them back."

"Laxus!" Mira scolded as she walked by but he paid no attention to her and stared harshly at me.

"You're wrong. I'm not weak Laxus. I'm just tired." I clenched my fist and he smiled and shrugged as he turned around.

"Whatever you have to tell yourself. You're probably the most useless person in this guild." I took a deep breath and held back my tears as I turned around to leave the guild.

"Lucianne? Where are you going?" Lucy asked as she walked me walk out. I placed my hand in the air as a way to wave off and kept the other in my pocket.

"Going on that run now. It's a little boring around here too." Once the doors closed I took off and continued to run until I couldn't keep going. ~~~~~~~~

"How did he know?" I asked myself as I began to slow down. I was always afraid of slowing others down, not being strong enough to be in the strongest guild. But this time I really was exhausted from my last job. "Laxus is just an ass who needs to mind his own business." I huffed but then sighed out and stopped moving, looking down at my feet. "Then why do I like him so much?" Shaking my head I took a deep breath and began to run again.

After awhile of running I heard something come from the trees to my left. Thinking it was just an animal I ignored it and continued to go. However after only a minute more something grabbed my ankle and picked me up off the ground.

"Ahhhh!" I yelled and looked behind my to see a Vulcan with an odd expression.

"Woman. My woman." He smiled lustfully and I began to freak out, trying to pry his hands off of my ankle. Feeling desperate I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.

"Celestial Dragon's Pillar." Luckily, my hands reached the ground so I was able to focus my magic. A black pillar flew up from under him so he was forced to release me as he flew back. I flipped over and landed on my feet, waiting for the monkey to run over as well.

"Bad woman!" He screamed as he charged me. I jumped just before he reached and inhaled sharply.

"Celestial Dragon's Roar!" A black beam with lights like stars hit the Vulcan on his back, sending him quickly and harshly to the ground. Standing up I once again inhaled once more and focused all my energy into a black orb above him. Just as he was about to stand up, I said the spell, "Celestial Dragon Meteor Strike." And I watched as the orb fell on top of him, making it impossible for him to move.

Letting out a breath of relief at my victory, I got ready to run back to the guild when I heard a branch snap. shooting a small beam in that direction I stood still and waited patiently.

"Ow, watch where you aim that thing." Laxus came out from the trees and I glared as I crossed my arms.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I spit and turned my head so I didn't have to look at him. Unfortunately, I could feel him watching me.

"Well I came out here to check on you. I wasn't necessarily expecting to get hit."

"I didn't ask you to come check on me."

"I know." He sighed and scratched his neck before he spoke again. "I... I wanted to look for you." I nearly choked on my own spit as he said that. Turning my head, I saw his cheeks were growing pink and I couldn't help but smile. "I was an ass earlier and-"

"That's an understatement." I scoffed and he glared at me through his long lashes.

"Can I finish?" He snarled and I nodded, gesturing for him to continue. "I was being an ass and after I realized how far over the line I had crossed, I decided to go find you." He took another deep breath and looked almost... Nervous? "Because no matter how pissy I get or how cold I act towards you I can't shake these irritating feelings that only show when you're around. I try and get rid of them by making you hate me, but if anything it only seems to fuel them. Watching you run out of the guild today because of me nearly killed me. I forced myself to sit still and let you go but I couldn't do it and had to go after you." I stood there, completely frozen as he spoke, his words piercing my heart.

He looked up at me and saw that I had no reaction, and the only emotion visible was complete shock. "I understand if you hate me, I mean I'd hate me too, but I hope letting it all out will help this pain." Laxus shoved his hands into his pockets and turned to head back to the guild. "If you want to talk about this later, I'll be- huh?" He stopped and turned around to see me holding his wrist.

"You... don't think I'm weak?" I asked barely above a whisper. He turned around with a smile and wiped a few strands of hair out of my face.

"Of course not. You took that Vulcan down with no help at all." He smiled but it quickly fell when he saw tears rushing down my cheeks. "W-what's wrong? Was it something I said?" I laughed and hugged onto his torso as he slightly panicked.

"I'm... just happy you don't think so, because the truth is... I have the same feelings for you, Laxus." He relaxed somewhat and held onto me as I hugged him. I smiled and hid my face in his chest as I cried and the entire time he allowed me to, never once complaining about his now soaking shirt. We stayed there for what felt like hours, not caring about the setting sun. It as just the two of us, happy and in complete bliss.

I'm so sorry these are taking so long but I am finally in the mood to sit down and write for hours at a time! So I hope to have them all finished by next Wednesday, that's my goal at least. Plus once these are done I will take requests again and I can't wait!
