There she was, Angel Heart, sitting in her normal seat at the small table alone. She always sat away from everyone, hiding in the shadows and not really talking to anyone. It wasn't really fair either because she was so beautiful, her brown hair was always neat and perfect and her sky blue eyes always shone out in the dark.

"What are you staring at?" Sting asked from behind me as we stood by the request board.

"Nothing really." I sighed and turned  around to see his smug look. "What?"

"It's Angel again isn't it?" I rolled my eyes and he smiled as he held out the job. "Why not ask her to join us?"

"There's no way she'd go." I sighed but Sting wasn't convinced.

"Well, there's only one way to find out!" He smiled and ran away towards her before I could stop him. So now, I stood defeated as he walked up to Angel.

Angel's P.O.V

"Hey Angel!" I jumped as I heard someone come from behind me. Turning around quickly I was faced with the leader of our magnificent guild, Sting. He gave me a closed eyed smile and held a browned paper in his hands. "How are you?"

"G-good. C-can I help you with s-something?" I stuttered out as I sank slightly into my seat, thinking it was because of the last missions I messed up. His smile fell slightly and he opened his eyes as he stood straighter. Great, I am in trouble. I thought to myself and gulped.

"Actually yes. I was wondering if you wanted to go on a job with me and Rogue?" I sighed out in relief but then cocked my head to the right, my dark hair falling behind me.

"You want me to go?" He nodded and placed his hand out once again with a closed eyed smile.

"What do ya say?" I hesitated but eventually nodded and grabbed his hand which he used to pull me up and drag me towards Rogue. "Told you she'd say yes."

"Actually, you didn't." Rogue countered and Sting just shrugged it off. I blushed a bit at the sight of Rogue, he was just too handsome not too. He looked down at me and I quickly turned my head and slid behind Sting, hiding from his gaze. Sting grabbed my hand and squeezed it lightly as he dragged me towards the train station.

When we arrived at our destination we went straight for the employers, well after the dragon slayers got over their motion sickness that is. The job was easy, just helping a poor family with some yard work and repairs. Luckily our magic was helpful, me being able to use shadows to fix their roof and cut down crops was extremely helpful. After we finished our job we went to our hotel, since Sting insisted on us staying over night.

Luckily I was able to get my own room which meant I would be able to avoid them. It's not that I don't like them, it's quite the contrary, I really enjoy being around them, I just get too shy. Especially around Rogue. I groaned and flopped onto the bed, hiding my face in the pillows. "Why am I like this?" I sighed and got up once again, deciding to go to the bathroom.

"Ahh~" I smiled and sighed happily as I sank into the warm water. I sat in the water, my mind blank and all my worries washing away with the soap. Just as my fingers started to prune I wrapped a robe around my body and a towel on my hair and then headed back to the room.

Once back I threw on a tank-top and sweats before I sat down and turned on the Lacrima vision while I brushed out my hair. Half way through the small comedy show they were playing there was a knock on the door. I turned off the show and got up to answer it to reveal Rogue with a small plastic bag.

"You didn't make it to dinner so we brought you some food back." I nodded and grabbed the bag while I looked down.

"T-thanks."
