Chapter 10

JIEUN

I was smiling the whole time.

That guy on the bus beside me made me feel comfortable around him. Those other friend of his has some similarity to Dino, Wonwoo and Hoshi. I'm just hallucinating.

Walking to my house, all I did was hum about songs. Seventeen's Hug, Smile flower and Us, Again is really a masterpiece. The translation means a lot to me and the song itself has it's soothing vibe.

When I reached my house, apartment rather, I went straight to the kitchen to arrange my groceries. Yawning, I went to my room and plopped down in my bed. I miss my bed. Yawning once again, I closed my eyes and went to my dreamland.

I woke up when I heard my phone ringing. Groaning, I picked up my phone and answered the call with a frown written all over my face.

"What?"

"Chill my little sister, I'm heading to your apartment. See ya."

She ended it and I was left dumbfounded. She's what? I remembered she's going to take me to her work place. Me being left bewildered, I stood up and rushed to the bathroom. I did my things and went to find clothes in my closet. Before I can wear my jeans, I heard my apartment doorbell rang and heard the door open because of the small creak I heard. I forgot I told her my password.

"MY LITTLE SISTA! WHERE ARE YOU?" I heard my older sister shouted.

"I'M CHANGING UNNIE!" I shouted back and wore my jeans immediately before grabbing my small backpack and comb.

When I went down, I saw my older sister laying in my sofa, all chill and relaxed. If she had work today, why isn't she telling me to be hasty?

"Hey, sis." She said still laying down with her eyes on her phone.

"What time do you go to work? Why are you so relaxed?" I asked not returning back the greeting.

"My work time is.." She checked her wristwatch. "..at 10am" I checked my phone and saw the time is just 8am.

I looked at my sister and she was holding her hands up in the air, gesturing a peace sign.

I puffed air and sat infront of her. "What made you change your mind?" I asked her and she stopped to whatever she was doing on her phone. She looked at me before answering, "I just want to live in a new environment." She answered and looked back at her phone.

I sighed and also browsed in my phone.

I saw from my peripheral view that my older sister stood up. I looked at her and she looked back at me. "What? It's 9:45am." She said, wow time flies so fast.

So I did the same and looked back at my clothes. Just my casual wearing. "Let's go." We went outside my apartment and hailed a cab. A cab stopped itself infront of us and we got in.

Isn't it rare for people who just got accepted in a job to bring people in their work place?

"I know what you're thinking sis, well, My workplace is still hiring a job which is a manager-" I cutted her off when I heard the word 'Manager'. 'Does that mean she's working in an Entertainment or she's working for an artist?'

"What is your work, unnie?" I asked. She hissed and answered,

"I work as a staff and I'm bringing you so you could take an interview to be a manager." She answered and shrugged. A staff? STAFF?! And what? Me? Interview?

"Are you serious about that unnie?" I asked one more time but she just looked at me with a frown on her face before answering me,

"Can you close your mouth for a while? You're asking so many questions."

"Did I even ask more than five question?" I said and frowned.

"Don't start with me, sis." Fine.

After a while, The cab stopped and we went out after paying.

...wHAT?

My jaw dropped and I felt my knees weaken. The place my older sister working in is Pledis Entertainment. Pledis freaking Entertainment.

I looked at my sister and she was already looking at me. A perplexed expression on her face. "Why are you over-reacting?" She started walking so I followed.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I pulled my hair in excitement but I could tell she was confused.

"You didn't ask."

"You told me to close my mouth!"

We stopped infront of a door and before I knew it, "Goodluck sis! See ya~" The last thing I heard before I was pushed in a room. The room was filled with cameras and there was a chair in the middle, with cameras in the front.

"Are you going to take an interview for the job?" I turned my head to the voice. A man in her early 50s welcomed me. And interview? Wait. No way my older sister really meant what she said earlier. I'm so killing her after this interview. Unconsciously, I nodded and he smiled before handling me a paper. An application paper to be exact.

"Please answer all of that before proceeding to the waiting area." He said before gesturing to a hallway with a sign 'Waiting area' above.

I looked back at the paper before letting out a sigh. I immediately answered the questions. With a light smile on my face, I signed the paper and dashed to the waiting area.

When I entered the hallway, I was antonished of the pictures hanging in the wall with a lively background. I ended up in a room, again, with above 5 or more than people in it. They stood up and bowed so I did the same. I stood there awkwardly before sitting to the chair a bit far away from them. Once I sat down, A woman came inside the room from the other door with an intidimating look. I gulped, feeling a bit taken aback at her presence.

She smiled and I was mesmerized by her smile when the tugs of her lips rose up. "Hello everyone, I'm Lee Chayoon, I'll assist you for this interview and help you to answer the questions that will be given once you enter that room." She stopped and pointed to the door she went out earlier. "For now, Let's discuss before one of you get called." She ended her speech with a smile and the audience immediately gave her a round of applause, including me.

Maybe I'm thanking my sister for pushing me inside.
