Dom's POV
After we got the cars I pulled up to a set of red light and Brian drove along side me.
"It's been a while since I've been behind the wheel of one of these." Brian said
"First time I've ever been in the front seat."I laughed
"Rome, what took you so long?" Brian asked "I thought for sure you'd be showing up with some chrome spinners or something."
"Real funny." He said sarcastically "I got $100,000 that says I can take you all in the next quarter-mile."
"Yeah, your broke ass has got a hundred grand." Brian said
"If we pull off this job, I will." Roman added cockily "The next two lights. Hundre thousand."
"If We don't pull this job off, we're probably dead anyway." Han said "Let's make it a million."
"I like that. All right, a million-dollar quarter-mile." Brian said
"All right, then." Han said
"You only live once.Let's do it."Roman Said
"What do you say, Dom?" Brian asked me
"We talking or we racing?"I said
I played a fair race and kept up with them all the way. I knew they couldn't keep up with me so at the last moment I slowed down and let Brian win. He was having a baby with my sister the least I could do was let him win.
Maria's POV
Me and Gisele got back to the warehouse only about 20 minutes before the boys got back with the police cars.
"Nice" I said
"Good race, O'Conner." Dom said to Brian
"Thanks, Dom." Brian said happily "Do you know how long I've been waiting for that shit?"
"I told you he didn't see it." Han said
"Your man right there? He let off the throttle at the line. You didn't do nothing. He let you win." Roman said patting Brian on the shoulder
"Bullshit." Brian said confused
"Got played my man?" I asked him with a laugh
"No Dom just gave him a million dollars" Roman said
"What were you guys doing" Gisele asked walking over to stand next to han.
"Racing" I nodded
"Racing baby!" Roman shouted
"I dont know why your so happy you lost" Han laughed
"I almost had yall" Rome said
"Almost" Brian laughed
Mia's POV
I was walking around a market to pick up some door for the team when I felt someone sneak up behind me and put their hand over my mouth. Initially of course I freaked out, until I saw who it was. Vince.
"Vince, what are you doing?" I aske
"Quiet!"he ordered "They've been tracking you."
"Who?"
"Reyes' men" he said pointing to the men who were stalking around outside.
Maria's POV
I was standing over one of the police cars giving it some repairs when I saw Mia walk in with another man. Brian got up and walked towards him, I followed.
" It's okay. Wait! Reyes' guys were waiting for me at the market. Vince saved my life" Mia explained
Brian gave him a hardly noticeable nod of thanks.
