"Jacob Bressler. Back again?" Frank taunted.

Jake clenched his jaw.

The room went silent. Frank walked over to the kitchen island and plopped the gun down.

"I would rather have friendly welcome rather then silence." Frank smirked.

"Not the time Frank. We almost got killed. Also how did you get here?" Y/N said, still processing everything.

"The open window." Frank pointed the the window. A fresh breeze came in.

They stood in silence while Frank took off his mask and exhaled loudly. His facial features stood out. His red eyes captivated Y/N.

Tricky gaped at him and shot Y/N a 'you're so lucky' look.

"I have to go. I'll be back soon." Frank grabbed his stuff and put his mask back on.

"No need to come back. We're doing fine on our own." Jake shot at Frank.

"I couldn't care any less about you guys. I'm coming back for Y/N." Frank shot back. Jake inaudibly gasped.

Frank put his cold hands on Y/N's hips. He leaned down to her face.

"I'm not going anywhere yet." Frank whispered in Y/N's ear. He gripped her hips and softly pushed her aside and left through the window.

Y/N cleared her throat and looked up at Jake who was clearly upset. His face fell and his eyes were empty.

"Alright. We will just stay here then." Yutani tapped on the table.

They all nodded in agreement.

Everyone had gone to bed while Y/N sat on the couch, chugging down energy drinks so that she'd stay awake.

Y/N sighed and slumped on the couch. The floor was a mess but Y/N didn't care.

Slowly, Y/N felt her eyes drooping.

Did the energy drinks not work?

Y/N went blank and shut her eyes before a familiar voice spoke from the window.

"Not falling asleep, are you?" The voice said, walking towards her.

"Frank. It is 5 am. Give me a break." Y/N groaned and threw a monster can on the floor.

Y/N looked at Frank. He had a cigarette between his fingers. He had taken off his suit jacket and left his tie loose. His white button up shirt was unbuttoned at the top. His hair was messy and soft. He had taken off his mask, his red eyes glowering at Y/N.

"Are you done admiring me?" Frank said as he took a step toward her.

"You're full of shit Frank." Y/N laughed.

Frank sat beside Y/N on the couch and wrapped his arm around her.

"What happened at the meeting?" Y/N asked.

"Dimitri is getting closer and closer to finding you and Mully's gone." Frank leaned back and took a long drag from the cigarette.

Y/N snatched it out of his hands.

"Since when did you smoke?" Y/N leaned on Frank.

"Since my dad became a sociopath." Frank ran his hand through his hair and let his brown hair fall slowly.

"So we both have daddy issues. Except one has failing lungs and the other spends their time vandalizing trains." Y/N laughed and pressed the cigarette on the table.

Frank looked at Y/N, smiling.

"You've grown fond of me." Frank said, still making eye contact with her.

"What? No, I haven't. I still hate you." Y/N scoffed.

Frank didn't look away and his eyes gleamed.

"You didn't seem to hate me when you almost kissed me." Frank said. Y/N was flustered.

"I just got caught up in the moment." Y/N stammered.

"Oh really? I think that you would've kissed me if we weren't interrupted." Frank looked at her up and down, grinning smugly.

Y/N scoffed.

"You changed the subject." Y/N said, looking down.

"No I didn't." Frank replied quickly.

"Yes, you did. I said that we both have daddy issues and you just changed the subject." Y/N said.

Frank looked away and his sharp jawline was clenched tightly.

"Robert said something about your dad." Y/N said in almost a whisper.

"It's nothing you should worry about." Frank returned to his stern tone.

"You never talk about him." Y/N regretted what she said because Frank's relaxed expression dropped.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to pry." Y/N looked down.

"It's fine. My father always despised me. I was a failure. He wanted me to become successful and smart for his benefits, not mine. He wanted me to work for the government but instead i'm working against the government. When he found out, he took everything that made me happy and then overdosed." Frank's voice was raspy.

"Oh. I'm sorry." Y/N felt bad for Frank. She always thought that Frank was a rebellious, egotistical ass that always got what he wanted but instead he was the opposite.

"Don't be. It's not your fault." Frank softened.

"What about your mom?" Y/N asked.

"Dead. She died giving birth to me and my dad blamed it all on me." Frank hung his head low. His hair dangling over his face.

They sat in silence. Frank looked at Y/N and they stared at each other.

Y/N felt like she blacked out because she pulled Frank down to her face and kissed him. This time it felt right. Y/N could sense Frank's shock.

Frank's cold hands were pressing on her neck and cheek. His steel rings were imprinted on her cheeks.

Y/N could feel his soft hair brush against her head.

Frank held her closer and his hand went to her neck softly.

They were interrupted by a voice coming from the hallway.

"I knew it. I knew it all along."

A/N: It's the awkwardness for me 😻
