12: Battle of the Bands

[~1ST POV~]

"Let's take a break! I'll get some drinks for us in the cafeteria. Anything particular that you want?" The white and black-haired demon asked me.

Giving it a thought, I requested for a Blue Switch: a sparkling juice with a refreshing flavor of fruit punch. Jin nods and walks out of the room with his wallet.

After closing the door, I decided to test out some chords on my double-necked guitar for a few minutes.

Who would've thought that I'm participating in a Musical Showcase?

Luckily, I wasn't on my own because Jin wanted to join the Musical Showcase and so we formed our own band called (B/N). Even though we're the only members, we had great consistency and teamwork. I could play the guitar and piano while the demon is able to perform on the drums and guitar as well. I'm in charge of vocals while he's set on rapping.

Although our positions in the band are already established; it wasn't as easy as we thought because we've never written lyrics or produced music before! Sure, we knew how to play musical instruments but writing and composing a song is on another level.

"This is just impossible...! What do I even write? What note should I start off with? I don't know anymore!" I slumped against the chair.

Just as I was about to give up, my (F/C) eyes were set onto the piano. I haven't tried playing the piano yet..

'Let's give this a shot then.. For the past fifteen minutes, I've been trying to make a chord melody and got nothing.. I'll try playing on the piano then and see where it'll take me."

I stood up from my seat and walked towards the piano. Sitting down on a piano bench, I propped up the lid to reveal the black and white keys. Taking in a deep breath, my fingertips grazed over the white keys and began playing a melody.
