Chapter 4 - Expression of Regret

I here a knock on the door, its Shenaya "What's taking you so long?" Kartik is waiting c'mon."

" Yeah " I nod

How am I going to face him, it's too embarrassing.

In the living room, I saw Kartik was sitting on the couch, he knew I am standing accross but he didn't looked at me.

Well offcourse! What I did was wrong.
I sat beside him, we all were quite, there was a strange tension and awkwardness in the air.

After few minutes Shenaya breaks the silence between us.

"So... ! Kartik how's everyone at home?

"Good"

"Hey, I heard about the new game you've been working on, so what's it about?"

"It's a 3D game, a kind of miniature park, hope it works as we have designed" kartik replied

"Game?" I asked "Kartik when did you started making games? You were into softwares right? and you were placed in one of the Top IT company! then how come you're making games all of a sudden?" I exclaimed.

"I changed my career. I have this small startup business" he replied

"But.. "

"Lunch is ready" Mom interrupt.

On dining table, I got the chance to apologise Kartik as he was sitting beside me.

"I am So so sorry!" I whispered
He placed his hands on mine and murmured "It's okay"

Once we were done with our lunch.

Kartik set to leave.

"I'll be back tomorrow with mom dad" he stated.

"Okay" my mom said with a smile.

We bid bye to Kartik and Shenaya hugs me in excitement.
