Third person's POV

It was a chilly autumn night, the cool wind making you shiver as you sat on a bench in the park on the north side waiting for your best friend,Johnny Cade

He was supposed to be there earlier but you assumed that he was either out with pony and Dally or got into another fight with his abusive father and alcoholic mother

His home life was terrible and it made you wanna cry whenever you thought about your best friend being abused

Aside from johnny being your best friend, you liked johnny more than a friend and wanted to confess your feelings any day now. The problem was you just didn't know how to

Finally you heard his footsteps crunching on the leaves as he walked towards you.

"Oh hey johnny where've you been?" you asked with a smile as he sat beside your freezing body.

That's when you noticed the mark on his right cheek.

"Johnny....what happened?" You touched the mark on his face softly making him turn his attention to you

"I got into a fight with a group of socs" johnny shuddered as he spoke.

You wrapped your arms around him and pulled him into your embrace. He hugged back, never wanting to let go.

"Johnny it'll be okay" you cooed as you pulled away from him

"No it won't y/n"

"Gosh you are such a pessimist" you said jokingly making him crack a small smile

"There's something else....that's been on my mind lately and it won't stop bothering me"

"What is it?" You raised an eyebrow

"I wanna kiss you because I like you" johnny admits nervously looking at you.
You softly cupped his left cheek and placed your lips on his in a tender kiss.

The kiss was sweet and slow but eventually you both pulled away stared at eachother in shock.

"I like you too Johnny, now kiss me again"
