The Goddess of death, Freya, had a permanent smile as she softly brushed through her son's unruly locks. Dark green eyes peered at her with wide eyes through the mirror. Her son created a burst of emotions to run through the goddess. Her love for her tiny son made her face light up every single time without fail.

Freya has so much love for her son that it almost hurts.

Loki was playing with his locket, humming a soft tune. He was such an innocent and sweet boy.

Freya hopes that war won't ruin him like it did with her.

"Mommy, me and Thor started our training today." Loki says, his little accented voice mumbles, fingers running through the gold chain around his neck.

Freya freezes. Loki furrows his eyebrows and he turns in his mother's grasp. "What's wrong, mummy." Loki asks, worried.

Freya snaps out of her shock, dread filling her heart. "It's nothing, my love, it's just.... I didn't expect you to start your training so soon." Freya says, softly planting a gentle kiss on the top of his curly head.

"But mum I'm four hundred years old. I should be able to take care of myself." Loki pouts

Freya smiles softly. "Those are your uncle's words, not yours. I know you're four hundred years old, I'm your mother. But that doesn't mean it doesn't fill me with dread at the thought of you growing up so fast." Freya says, peering at him through the mirror as he settles back into her chest.

Loki takes his mother's hand, hugging her tightly to his little body. "Don't worry, I'm still your Lokes. I'll be okay." Loki whispers

Freya smiles softly, pulling back and kissing her son's head again. "I love you with all my heart." Freya coos

"And I." Loki says, brightly.

....

Grand Hall/Years later

"I TOLD YOU I NEVER WANTED LOKI TO EVER PLAY WITH MAGIC UNTIL HE WAS AT THE VERY LEAST 800 YEARS OF AGE!!!" Freya yells

There were tears streaming down her pale face. Her eyes were rimmed red. She was both furious and heartbroken.

"Freya please calm down." Odin says, he was just as heartbroken as his sister.

Freya's eyes shift black with fury. "Do not tell me to calm down, my son doesn't recognize me! You have no idea the agony I feel brother!" Freya says

"Sister, please, we will fix this, I promise you." Odin says

"How brother, this type of magic is irreversible. We can not undo this." Freya says. Her voice was weak, trembling.

"Tell me Freya, what do you want me to do? Tell me what to do." Odin begs, he knew this was his fault, he just didn't want his only living sibling to hate him.

"I don't know Odin....my son doesn't know me and if I try to regain his memories it will only hurt him. I don't want to hurt him.....there leaves us with no other choice...I must leave Asgard." Freya says

"What?! No sister, you can not leave!" Odin says "I have to Odin, it's for the best. Do what you did to Hela, erase my existence, if none of them remember me then no one will be hurt by this. Take Loki in as your own and raise him to be amazing. How I would've." Freya says

There were more tears running down her face. Her soul was cracking from the pain.

Odin was in tears as well. "Freya....." Odin says "It's for the best." Freya says

....

Freya walks to the bit frost and meets a young Heimdall. Freya gives him a sad smile when she spots the young boy's tears.

"I don't want you to go." Heimdall says, his voice cracking. "I know sweetheart but I have no other choice." Freya says

Despite the training, Heimdall runs away from his post and he hugs her, clutching her gown.

Freya has more tears run down her face. Freya hugs him back.

....
