Nobodies POV
To Fury, who is back in his office, wearing an eyepatch. He writes on his computer about The Protector Initiative.
Phil Coulson enters the room with a suitcase in his hands.
"Glad to have you back, sir. This came for you." Coulson says
Fury opens the suitcase to reveal lots of prosthetic eyes of different colors.
"So, is it true? That the Kree burned your eye out because you refused to give them the Tesseract?" Coulson ask
"I'll neither confirm nor deny the facts of that story." Fury says
"Understood. I'm sorry to report that we still haven't found the Tesseract." Coulson says "I'm sure it will turn up somewhere." Fury says
Fury looks at Goose, who now lives with him.
"I'll let you know when it does." Coulson says "Then what?" Fury ask "Sir?" Coulson ask
"We have no idea what other intergalactic threats are out there. And our one-woman security force had a prior commitment on the other side of the universe. SHIELD alone can't protect us. We need to find more." Fury says
"More weapons?" Coulson ask
"More heroes." Fury says "You think we can find others like her?" Coulson ask
"We found her and we weren't even looking." Fury says "Get some rest, sir. You got a big decision to make." Coulson says
Fury looks through Carol's file and finds out that she was nicknamed Avenger. He then decides to rename his project 'The Avengers Initiative'.
....
Freya walks into Fury's office, silently. "For a spy you are pretty clueless of your surroundings." Freya speaks
Fury jumps in surprise, tensing up, but he relaxes when he sees Freya.
"I think I need to re-evaluate your file." Freya teases
Fury chuckles. "You are one of the best spies in the world, you could sneak up on anyone without them noticing." Fury says
Freya smiles, walking forward. "The eyepatch suits you, are you sticking with it or are you swapping it out for a prosthetic." Freya ask
"It's growing on me." Fury says
The two smile at one another.
....
At a bar.
Fury was drunk out of his mind. "I mean director your hot and I'm hot. We should go out for drinks." Fury slurs
Freya chuckles, taking a drink out of her glass. "We are out for drinks." Freya says
"Oh...well hell.... looks like I'm shit faced." Fury says
Freya laughs, shaking her head. "Let's get you home." Freya says, she gently grabs his arm and puts it over her shoulders, leading him out the door.
Fury leans against her. "You are really gorgeous, do you know that?" Fury ask
"Thanks, for the millionth compliment of the night." Freya says
Fury chuckles. "No problem ma'am just doing my duty." Fury says, he misses a step, stumbling.
Freya chuckles and she quickly catches him. "So complementing me is a job then." Freya teases
"Nope it's my pleasure." Fury slurs
Freya shakes her head amused. "We're going to be good friends Fury." Freya says
"Nope not friends....lovers." Fury slurs
Freya lets out a beautiful laugh as the two walk down the street.
