She walked the hallways with him everyday and he never suspected. They were best friends. And that's all they'll ever be. She waited for him to ask her. But he never did.

"Should I ask her" Draco asked Y/n. His eyes never left the girl who wasn't her. Y/n's heart sank.
"You want to go with her?" She asked
Draco's eyes softened "she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen...her names Heather"
Y/n weakly smiled. "If you feel that way..yea"

She stared at Heather. She had the clearest skin. Beautiful blonde hair. She was tall and thin. She was beautiful.

Y/n stared at herself in the mirror. She laughed
"Your not half as pretty as her" she told herself "you never will be"

"She said yes y/n. I mean she would be a fool not to" Draco smiled.
"Yea..I'll see you at our spot right?" Y/n asked/
"No I gotta date with Heather"

"Y/n how do we look" Draco asked. His arm locked with Heathers.
"You guys look great"
"Thanks y/n"
They walked to the Yule ball together.
Y/n stood there. Alone.
She walked alone.
"I wish I were Heather"
