Chapter 23 side effects

" I'm cold," I said pulling the blankets around me it was true I could not get warm enough it was as if everywhere was cold

" don't worry darling its only a side effect of being in your wolfs body for so long, it will fade," Aunty M told me passing me another blanket before leaving the room and closing the door behind her.

curling further into my blankets I shivered and curled up more tightly hating the cold and that everyone knew and was a wolf and I wasn't told not once not a thing.

pulling myself into a tighter ball I reached for the remote and switched on the tv putting Deadpool on. three movies later I start to feel hungry and my stomach starts to growl. getting out of the bedding pulling a hoodie on over my sweater which was over two vests and a sports bra I wrap a blanket around myself and head downstairs.

entering the kitchen I rummaged through the cabinets for something to eat I don't know what but I wanted something. After finding nothing in the cabinets I moved onto the fridge rummaging through the shelves I come across raw meat. picking up all the packages I throw them onto the bench and start up the cooker before taking a frying pan and open the packages smelling I subconsciously moan in delight 'meat' i think before throwing it in the pan it starts to fry. tossing it over I fry the other side before throwing it onto a plate picking it up I take a large bite the stake was still red and only lightly fried. the blood from the meat poured into my mouth and I somehow purred. my first intentions were gone and now I was just opening the packets and eating the meat raw without cooking involved devouring every last piece from the packets I sat on the island and fell asleep.

getting shuck I cracked my eyes open to see aunty M

"what?" I asked her unsure of what was happening. she pulled my hands into hers. i started to wonder what happened my nails were claws. pulling my face next into her hands she turned it side to side before pulling my top lip upwards

"oh god" was all she said before clearing the trash from the counter and disposing it into the trash can. before disappearing upstairs before returning again with a pair of my shoes in her hand she held them in front of me

"put them on," she said doing as she told I put them on before she leads me outside

"where are we going?" I ask her as she shut me in the car before getting into the driver's side turning on the car she pulled out and drove up the road.

soon we arrived at what I learned was called a packhouse. over the last week since I had shifted back aunt m and Hunter had taught me about wolves once I had stopped believing it was a dream.

taking me out the car she leads me inside pulling me through a maze of hallways before stopping in front of two wooden doors without knocking she barged in pulling me behind her inside sitting at a desk was Nicholas I remember him well he was a friend to me when I was younger the only friend I truly had when I visited this place.

" Healer Mary what are you doing here?" he asked his head shooting up at he entrance she made

" help Ava " she pleaded i don't know why I needed help

" help her with what?" he asked. she pulled me to the desk and placed my palms flat on the surface

" uh yes sit, sit" he gestured to the seats sitting down I looked at my hands touching each claw with my finger

" tell me is there any more side effects?" he asked looking at me

"yes her craving for raw meat and her canines alpha there is only one way to help her and I cannot"

"I know mary but neither can I, she is marked and only her mate will be able to help her shift now I soon am no longer to be alpha my son her mate Kingston will be alpha when they mate then the title will be his."

"I understand"

" leave her here we will do all we can and so will Kingston do not worry mary she will be able to control it she was like my own years ago I promise you I will help."

" yes alpha," she said before leaving me here

" Ava dear tell me do you feel pain?" I shake my head

" good show me your eyes" doing as he commands I look up

" two different one blind this luna will be brave and fertile she will be a mother to all as a luna should be even through her curse " he muttered to himself

"come Ava Kingston will be the one to help you" he said leading me out the door and up the stairs before we arrived outside of kings room. opening the door he lead me in.

" son guess whos here?" Nicholas asked hiding me behind his back

" who is it, father?"

"the one the only mate of yours " he announced pulling me from behind his back

" Ava dear come here," he said opening his arms which I run into I don't know why but I've missed him so much I've missed his scent his eyes his touch everything about him

" Ava how I've missed you love," he said pulling me closer

"I have missed you as well," I said hugging him back

"I will help you precious i will help you because in such a short time I love you," he said kissing me taking me by surprise

"I will leave you both son, remember either shift her to wolf or human the side effects if untreated will painfully turn her wolf again," he said before leaving us

" i'll help you love I think wolf will be easier even though you were forced to shift back this is the consequence of being forced to shift twice in a row" he explained to which I nodded.

a/n sorry this chapter is shorter i've just been working on another book and been having trouble figuring out this chapter.
