FOX'S POV

When Tae said he's getting married, I wasn't expecting him to marry the one guy he was obsessed with.

I grew up alongside Tae and his cousin Kace, who is also my mate. My father was his father's right hand man. Ryoto Kreepolrerk is a well-known man both on the legal and illegal side of businesses. Who wouldn't know the boss of the Black Dragon?

Tae is from a lineage of mafia. His mother's family, the Jamornhums, has been part of it too. My father became a part of it when he became friends with Uncle Ryoto when they were just kids. He swore allegiance when Uncle Ryoto saved him from being ganged up once.

My father was with Uncle Ryoto when they were ambushed. They put up a bloody fight and made sure that they take down with them whoever planned it before they died. Since then, Tae became a different person. He assumed the position his father left both in the family and in the mafia.

Kace and I have known his obsession for his stepbrother's best friend, Thanapon Jarujitranon or better known as Tee. We were thirteen years old when Uncle Ryoto married Tan's mother, Tatsuo Kongthanin. Auntie Tatsuo was a casualty from a raid Uncle Ryoto and my dad did. She was a captured slave from a different group. When they got her, they tried to set her free but she insisted on serving the family instead.

Tan doesn't know any of this. Everybody concealed the truth and the others who knew that he is a result of the repetitive abuse his mother received are all gone. Only Tae, Kace and I are the ones remaining alive who knows the truth. Tae treated Tan like a true brother but he seldom shows up whenever Tan's friends are at home.

Tae would observe from afar whenever Tee and Copter, Tan's friends, are around. He would never show himself to them, that's why it was a surprise to both Tee and Copter that he and Tan are brothers.

I was brought out of my musings when I heard the jingling of keys and the clicking of the door. Kace must be home.

"Fucking shit" Kace grumbled the moment he sees me smoking by the balcony.

"What happened hon?" I asked. It must have something to do with Tae and Tee since he is assigned to tail on the younger man.

He scowled as he put down the bags containing takeouts on the table before heading to where I am. Kace dropped a kiss on my lips before joining me on the couch.

Our unit is a floor beneath Tae and Tee's penthouse. Half of the floor is ours while the other half is a control room, managed by our guys, where all activities in the building are monitored. It is a thirty story residential building where its occupants are mostly elites.

"Tae suddenly went all out alpha on Tee and decided to eat him alive during the ride home which had me tailing them until they reached here" my mate ranted.

I pulled him in a hug and nuzzled my nose into his hair. He still smells fresh. Damn! "Should've expected that hon, they're newly mated. They'll be over each other the minute they're near the other. We were also like that, weren't we"

Kace pouted. "But still, I had to drive into that godawful traffic and also buy them dinner" he said as he wrapped his arms around my waist. "Remind me why I'm working for him again. I couldn't remember agreeing to this shit"

"Oh honey. You're saying that now because somehow, you could see that a little bit of the old Tae is coming back right?"

Kace pulled back a little. He sighed in frustration. "Yeah, I could see some changes but I never expected for it to be this stressful" he grumbled as he leaned on the back of the couch.

"How about I destress you" I said as I faced him fully. I moved to hover on top of him as I began to rain kisses on his face.

"Nnggh...Fox" he moaned out as I palm him above his pants.
