ATHENAS POV.

I swallowed the lump in my throat and continued, I could feel the familiar sting in my eyes.

But I was too stubborn to cry.

"The police kept me out the room when they arrived. They all knew she was gone and although they thought I didn't, I knew too.

The process from there to the orphanage is all a blur, but when I did arrive I ended up in a- what I guess you would call- sort of depression. I was barley sleeping, eating, talking, I lashed out at people and stayed to myself.

However, even though I lashed out or barely spoke Neptune was at my side every single day. She was annoying and I yelled at her 90% of the time but one day I finally gave into her attempts."

Looking anywhere except the mystery gang, my eyes focused on dads glass of whiskey.

What I would give for a sip right now.

No alcohol! Just story time, continue!!

"Neptune and I became really close when I finally let her in. It wasn't until around three months later that I had met Bellamy. He had always been at the orphanage,  he was dropped off in a blanket as an infant. So he mostly avoided and hated being there. Stay out most of the time he got tied in with some low rank gang members, became an illegal fighter.

I hated it but he did it to save for us when we turned 18.

No one ever expects to be adopted.

But neither did he expect his 'friends' to leave him at a fight match where he should've died.

I won't get much into that, but luckily he won. Gained major respect from high ranking gangs even the occasional mafia member.

Everything from there was really smooth sailing. A year later, we were all around 13 when Killian came to the orphanage. The kids there were picking on him and he didn't deserve it, it was hard enough being an orphan as it is. So I beat them up and offered Killian to be our friend.

He was petrified of me at first- no doubt- but eventually all four of us were the closest we could ever be."

Looking over to the biologicals I saw all the emotions in there eyes.

Sadness.
Sympathy.
Confusion.

They all let their guards down, and actually made it accessible to see their emotions .

I knew that was rare.

"Any questions so far?" I leaned back into the surprisingly comfortable leather couch.

"Wheres Killian now?" Elias asked.

Huh thought it would've been Demitri.

"Killian's gone."

"Gone?" Adriano looked into my eyes.

"Dead." I couldn't resist the urge anymore, grabbing dads glass I downed the remaining whiskey.

They didn't seem surprised. However, I feel like that could've been a one time thing.

Clearing my throat, the burn of the alcohol subsided. "That actually brings us to the next part."

NICOLOS POV.

The fact that she wasn't even done yet made me want to cry.

Mi dispiace tanto di non essere stata lì per te principessa. (I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you princess.)
