" GAMBLING IS FOR THE KINGS & QUEENS. "

cosmopolitan, 8:30pm.

y/n waited on the wrap around balcony, a glass of wine lingering at the tips of her fingers and a thin material robe around her body.

she stares off into the city of vegas, getting lost within the beautiful view. it was surreal to be here, heaven to be exact. the strip is a place of indescribable scale and scope.

living here has been timeless excitement with complete freedom to indulge in all her desires. coming through a sliding glass door exterior, she heard the sound of a small click to inform that it had just been shut.

however, pleasured to the mind she was unbothered. the wind blew against her skin, a wave of chills flooding y/n's entire body.

after the incident she involved herself in, she wanted to forget it and move on. but it was impossible.
because to him, jungkook, he thought it meant something special and that she was showing her commitment.

when you hear the name las vegas, the first thing that springs to mind are the casinos, where gambling is for the kings and queens.

besides being home to the best hotels, the strip also always has a unique ambiance.
it was like the beating heart of sin city.

a figure walked up to y/n slowly and pulled her closer to him wrapping his arms around her from behind. his embrace was warm, and his big, strong arms seemed very protective when wrapped around her frail body.

the world around her melted away as she was pressed up against his front side, not wanting the moment to end.

your pov.

"you okay?" you nodded, staying quiet to resist his presence.
"why'd you stop? you think i was gonna knock you up?"
"it just, didn't feel right..."

"this didn't feel right?" he butterfly kissed down your neck, nibbling at your earlobe and whispering praises in it. his arms tightened around your persona and the warmth was something you fell in love with.

you spun around in his arms as a smile played on your glossed lips.
"you always get your way don't you..."

"oh to one's personal preference or desires it's just natural result. why, falling in love with me already?" he smirked, watching as you rolled your eyes and bite down your bottom lip to restrain your smile from growing.

"your flirtation truly knows no bounds." before you could make another move, he stole the half empty glass from your hand and set it aside on the table surrounded by two couches on the balcony.

"and that's why you miss y/n, will relinquish this alcoholic drink and come with me." you let out a small gasp feeling him lift you off your feet and into his arms, your immediate instinct wrapped your arms around his neck for support as he squeezed your body closer to his.

jungkook used one hand to slide open the clear door and had you shut it after, now entering his spacious bedroom with the bed in the center.

although the rooms lights were switched off, he placed you gently on the mattress like you were the most precious thing in existence.

"you suck." the man chuckled at your stupid insult, joining you under the covers until you turned away from him with your back facing his direction.
"what a baby.."

the blanket was snatched away from your body, the cold air instantly rushing towards you that forced a frown on your face.

jungkook laughed lowly, closing his eyes with the blanket all to himself.
"you ass.. share," you tugged at the duvet, but it appeared to stay in the same spot.

he pretended to snore, ignoring your aura that was as cold as ice.
"jeon." you laid back down disappointed by his lack of response.

mumbling profanities under your breath, you were suddenly cuddled between jungkook's bare chest and the thick blanket.

there was no doubt that this was another feeling that made your heart jump.
your head nuzzled against his naked upper body, his steady breathing making his chest rise up and down calmly.

the romantic and sensual touch of his hands running through your hair, caressing your face in the process was putting you to sleep.

the young adult smiled to himself softly, recalling how much he had fallen for you ever since you two met at his first tournament in cosmopolitan.

a smile eternally stained upon your lips as you brought yourself up and looked at him.
"what?" you chuckled confused at his adoring stare.

"im just looking." he admits, kissing your temple and continuing to rake his fingers through your hair.
you closed your eyes at the relaxing sensation, his deed putting you to sleep in his arms.

cosmopolitan, 10:35am.

upon waking, you burrowed yourself into the warm, soft sheets. you rubbed the remainders of sleep from your eyes and gazed out at the horizon; its vivid light extended across a rosy sky.

the empty side of the bed left you questioning about where jungkook could've possibly went.
you curled up in a ball, remembering last nights scenes that brought a tint to your cheeks.

the sound of a key card slipping into the door and being pulled open caught your attention, it was shut and you heard the shuffling of plastic bags and shoes stepping around from a few feet away.

the man snuck back into the bedroom where he found you sitting up with the blankets covering your body.
"morning," he rested across from you, taking two small brown boxes out of the clear bag and giving you one.

"breakfast for the sleepy head..." you hummed, opening the top cover off the box to reveal the organized breakfast meal.

this type of treatment was unusual for you, especially coming from a guy like jungkook who revolves himself around his friends and work.

a little distraction here and there wouldn't hurt, but his little distraction became a big part of his routine.
you ate breakfast together in bed, sharing some food as what he ordered wasn't the same for both.

you took a napkin and wiped the sauce off the corner of his lip, folding it over before continuing the conversation.

"you should teach me someday."
"from poker amateur to poker player? doubt that." he stuffed a piece of the pancake into his mouth.

"im interested just as much as you are.."
jungkook's poker tournaments started in less than 30 minutes, leaving no time for the both of you to waste on eating breakfast and talking.

"all newbies start off with poker hands, then we teach how cards are dealt... after that we teach how to ante, what the blinds are, and other essentials of betting, checking, raising, calling, and folding," jungkook's vocabulary left you stunned, and he noticed it with a grin on his face.

"i'll teach you y/n, but for now i have to go play. stay for as long as you'd like." he pushed himself off the bed and grabbed his jacket, swinging it over his shoulders and putting his arms through its sleeves as you wished him goodluck.

"take home the crown, ace."
