2020 was a bad year for everyone. 2023 was worse. It saw the destruction of millions of mutants and those who carried the mutant gene in a mass genocide carried out by Sentinels - high tech weapons engineered by Bolivar Trask in 1972. Logan is sent back in time to prevent the future from ever happening, enlisting the help of Charles Xavier and Hank McCoy. Erik Lehnsherr is also needed for the plan to succeed, but is unfortunately being held in the basement of the world's most secure facility. To break him out a bigger team up is needed, and face that was thought to be lost resurfaces.
