As the heavy metal door creaked and clanked open I gazed at what lay in front of me. I felt like tearing my eyes from their sockets as I saw the blood spewed all over the walls. I wanted to scream, but my vocals seemed to have vanished.

I waited for my eyes to adjust as I read the blood written words on each wall. They read things like 'help me' , 'get it away' and 'fear'. Feeling terribly nauseous I regained my ability to speak, I opened my mouth to do so but that horrid laughter came again but closer and louder.

Switching my torch on I carefully stepped forward with no sound as if I was gliding. I started to rethink over how new and disturbing this was to me. The table he was sitting at was worn and bloody as a body of what looked like a guardsman lay with his guts in a neat order on the wood surface. The laughter and giggles stopped as the thing in front of me cocked its head slightly to the side.

My brain was swimming in too many thoughts and I spoke quietly and scared, "w-who are...y-you?". Oh was I wrong to say that...
