.April 12th.
•~(Y/N) P.O.V.~• The weekend, finally! My first Saturday at Cherryton, I wonder how days off work here? Only one way to find out.
Yawning I throw open the curtains to my bed, revelling in the fact I didn't have to wake up early and got to sleep in. By the looks of things everyone else had the same idea, with all curtains drawn, I suppose I'm the first awake.
Cautiously I get up as the floorboards creak beneath me, do I just wait? Or wake somebody up like they have for me all week? No, I'll wait, it would be horribly rude to do that on a weekend day. Instead I grab my notebook from my bag which I had written in the first day, my journal. Luckily I have much more to add now, about how I'd met Jack again, and how I'd joined the drama club. For once this scrapbook type diary was filled with positive things.
To my luck it isn't long before the curtains draw on Mayumi's bed as the coyote pokes her head out with a grin. "Morning." she whispers, standing up from the mattress. I nod and smile, closing my notebook and putting it away. "So what do we actually do today?" I ask my roommate as she stretches her arms over her head. "Normally we go to the city," she says as she sits back down across from me. My eyes light up at the suggestion.
'The city? I've always wondered what that's like, I never went with my old school as most of my friends were herbivores and didn't feel safe. But now I'm surrounded by fellow carnivores I suppose I can go?! Oh gosh that would be amazing'. I can't help but smile as I think about what the outside is like, Mayumi notices this and giggles. "I suppose you want to go then?" she asks, raising an eyebrow. I nod enthusiastically and chuckle as she does too.
"Then it's a plan, we'll ask the others when they wake, and who knows, maybe Jack could come too." she suggests, I agree as I pull up his contact, having exchanged numbers in one of our English lessons. I was really looking forward to today.

Finally we are all ready to go as we cross the school grounds to meet Jack outside the boys dorm. I was feeling so much better for being in my casual clothes compared to the school uniform, and all the girls looked great in theirs too, now I can start to see what their style is.
Mayumi maintains her smarts in a sort of light academia look, with free-fitting brown corduroy trousers and a white blouse tucked in. She caries with her a tote of what she needs as her Dr Marten style boots click on the concrete, and the look is topped with a nice large green cardigan. A classy coyote if you will.
Ethne maintains her sporty look in her style, she is a volleyball player after all. She's much more laid back with her navy and black leggings with trainers and "Cherryton Volleyball No.21" hoodie, truly a team player. Guess that's her collie-dog loyalty coming in to play.
Taka does her best in her look, I remember her telling me as we changed that sometimes she finds it hard to find clothes in her size, the struggles of a smaller canine eh? I suppose that counts for racoon-dogs too. Either way she pulls off a cutesy look with a t-shirt dress and belt combo, matched with her white platform shoes and a backpack of all her necessities.
I however add some darker contrast to the group, wearing more blacks and greys to combat or compliment my white fur. Today I went with a simple black pleated skirt with some semi-opaque tights and black combat boots. It felt strange as I normally strictly wear jeans, but I wanted to look nice for our first day out. On my top half I have a simple pebble-grey jumper tucked into my skirt with my studded backpack. The jumper is slightly oversized which I like, it makes me feel cute and smaller for being a wolf.
"Hey guys!" Jack the golden lab shouts as we walk up by the doors of the boys dorm. He runs over enthusiastically and spins me around in a hug, I giggle as he steps back with a cheesy grin before greeting the rest of us. "Ready to hit the town?" he asks as we all nod. I'm so excited for today.
"Hell yeah, it'll be good to get out for once, I haven't in ages." Ethne huffs, scratching the back of her neck. Jack agrees as we start to walk toward the school gates. "Yeah i sometimes go with my roommates but they don't want to anymore, so thanks for the invite you guys!" he cheers, thanking us. I shake my head and smile "No need to thank us! We're happy to be going with you." I say, making Jacks cheeks flush.
It's not long before we reach the train station, standing on the platform as a train rushes past, blowing a relaxing breeze through my fur. Luckily ours is next in as it pulls up and the doors open with an electronic bing noise echoing through the place, Mayumi quickly rushes our group inside as we take a seat in the back corner. "Our stop is third." she smiles as she references the map above the door. I nod as I kick my feet like a child on a swing. Jack sits to my left and Taka on my right, Ethne and Mayumi remain stood as theyre the taller ones.
We make casual conversation as we go, but I can't help but focus on the thrill of all that was happening. At this point I'm not sure if the others realise I've never done this before, been on a train, gone to the city, I feel like a kid at a candy shop.
To my joy it's only a short time before we reach our stop. Immediately Taka and I rush ahead as she stumbles in her platforms, we rush up the stairs of the station to the surface. My jaw practically drops as I look around at all the tall impressive buildings, the animals enjoying their free and adult life, the overwhelming sense of peace in the air.
