.April 14th.
•~Jack P.O.V.~• I hurry over as the two fighting students attempt to involve Legoshi. For some bizarre reason he'd lashed out and shouted at them to stop, which in reality only made the situation worse as he found himself between the two of them. Panic was written all over his face as I approached from his left side, Legoshi isn't a confrontational guy, and so was struggling with the consequences of his pitching in.
"Hey, hey!" I shout as I step in, grabbing Legoshi by his forearm and attempting to back him away from the two slowly. "There's no need for this now is there? Let's just-" I begin before being cut off by the aggravated fox. "Oh another one!" he practically barks, spitting in our direction. "Stop acting like some do gooder! You're just like us- but too scared to show it!" The hyena shouts, lunging at us in an attempt to tackle us.
"Okay enough's enough don't you think?" yet another voice chimes in as I look over and see the familiar white wolf approaching us. I groan and roll my eyes, cursing mentally '(Y/N) I said stay over there!' I think. Legoshi's expression only descends further as she walks over, looking to me with an even more worried expression than before. At least he tried to keep away.
"I get it, okay?" (Y/N) starts, standing in front of the two angered students, giving Legoshi and I the chance to back off. "You're fragile, and feel the need to put on a show to prove something." she chuffs. "Stop causing a scene and scaring fellow students, you're proving nothing good of yourself and instead only showing your insecurity in a need to be strong." she says, taking them aback as they scowl at her and furrow their eyebrows, balling their hands into fists as their rage again rises.
"Like you'd know." the hyena growls under his breath. "Excuse me?" she questions. "Like you'd know!" he repeats but now shouting it in her face, fangs on display in a gnarl once again. "Don't act the innocent!" he continues in his rage. "We know what you did, theres a reason they kicked you to the curb!" he barks, catching (Y/N) off guard as she stumbles backwards and tears gather in her eyes, threatening to fall. 'What are they talking about? What did she do?' I can't help but think to myself, and judging by Legoshi's reaction beside me he too was wondering the same.
The white wolf pauses as the two continue to rant at her, but she doesn't seem to be listening, simply fixating on what they had originally said, letting it consume her as the first tear tumbled down her cheek, her body visibly shaking. Looking over to our other friends I see concern growing on their faces too as (Y/N) rushes away from the canteen. I hesitate in following as Taka Mayumi and Ethne quickly jump to their feet and hurry after her, nodding at me as they pass while I remain by Legoshi.
I turn to the hyena and the fox, noticing Louis the deer approach from the distance to deal with them. I take the chance and quickly drag Legoshi away from the scene as well, to the stairwell nearby. We both sigh as we take a seat on the lower steps, Legoshi groans and runs his claws through his fur. "Why did you do that?" I blanky question, staring at our feet. "I don't know-" he gulps. "I couldn't stop myself." he mumbles, making me roll my eyes.
"What do you mean? You could've just, you know, not shout at the two fighting lunatics?" I sarcastically retort, making my friend hang his head as his ears drop. "You don't understand, it bothered me to see them fighting, I couldn't control a response." he re-explains, to which I just nod my head and move on. "What do you think they meant?" He suddenly asks, staring vacantly at the wall in front of us. "About what?" I query, confused.
"About (Y/N)." the grey wolf sighs "What did they mean about (Y/N)?" he wonders out loud. I pause and shake my head. "I don't know actually." I shrug, not thinking much of it. "You're friends with her aren't you?" he disappointedly questions, looking over at me with sad eyes. I nod and turn away from him. "Yes, yes I am, but why does that matter?" I sigh, getting irritated at this point.
"So you can be friends with her but I can't?" he again questions me, making me roll my eyes. "Yes, because I didn't hurt her in such a way." I snap, "but you did, so just back off yeah?" I grunt, instantly regretting my words as his face falls into a frown and he raises from his seat on the stairs, tail hung low as he walks away.
"Legoshi wait!" I shout as I stand, wishing to backtrack what I'd said. He just lets out an exaggerated sigh and bats me away with his hand, continuing to leave. Fine, if he wants to be that way then fine, I'll apologise later back at the dorm. 'But for now I should probably check on (Y/N)-' I think to myself as I hastily head off in the direction I last saw her and the rest of the girls go. However I can't help but wonder back on what was discussed, what did they mean when they said that about (Y/N)?
