FLORENCE LANDED ON THE GRASS OF MALFOY MANOR AND HER FAMILY WERE THERE TO GREET HER. Sinceleaving, the girls demeanour had changed completely. She seemed powerful now, like she could rule the wizarding world with the click of a finger.
It had been a year since Florence had been in the manor and when she walked in it felt empty. "Brother" she nodded at him.
"Father. Mother." But something felt off. Something felt wrong about the manor it was cold, almost desolate. No house elves graced the stone floor no more lively chatter of the radio.
Deep mumbles rushed through the manor as she made her way to the sitting room and she saw him. There she saw was Voldermort himself. Alive in all of his sick and twisted glory.
Realistically she could kill him right now, Drogon and his brothers could crash through the ceiling and kill him but she sat at the other end of the table. "My lord." She bowed her head to the serpent like man.
"Here she is! Here she is! Florence, the girl with the dragons." Flo could practically hear the thoughts running through his brain, how her children could help him win the war. "Pleasure to meet you my lord." She said her head still bowed.
Florence felt a hand on her shoulder and she saw her brother. "Best get ready, Flora, the Hogwarts express awaits us with open arms." She nodded at her brother who could pass off as older than her now.
She walked outside and mumbled a few words in Valyrian to her dragons and casted a spell on them so they would simply blend in with the sky until they reached Hogwarts, where Dumbledore and Hagrid would care for them there.
The next morning was hectic, Flo had opted to stay dressed in her robes to avoid the idea of changing in the train and Florence and Draco tapped off the portkey and the pair arrived quickly on platform nine and three quarters.
Florence walked through the train compartments and to where she could hear the most noise. There was a huge commotion in the next carriage so she decided to follow the noise. "And this year! Puking pastilles!" She heard their voice.
The voices that kept her up so late one night she slept through all of her classes. The voices of the boys who kept her going even in the hardest times. Florence slid the door to the compartment open and she saw the twins and Lee messing around with the map. "Hello boys."
Her voice was sultry almost, it sounded deeper. More seductive. This made Fred buckle at his knees as he saw Flo again. Him, George and Lee got out of their seats and rushed towards the girl. "Flo! You're home!"
"We missed you."
"Florence!!!"
Chatters of greetings and things that happened throughout their summer was all that went on the three more hours that she was on the train. "I need to speak with my brother, a moment?" The boys nodded, still excited about her arrival back.
Mumbles of her name were heard down the train news had spread like dragon fire about the girl. About her family. How she was named Florence Stormborn, the mother of dragons, the unburnt.
Theway Flo carried herself down the train carriages made her look powerful almost. People uttered she would be the winner of the war, no matter what side. But when she finally reached the seats where her brother sat with Blaise and Pansy a smile graced her stone features.
Her silvery white, long hair hangs over a chiseled, frowning face. Dancing violet eyes, set narrowly within their sockets, watch admiringly over the spirits they've rarely felt at home at for so long.
The is the face of Florence stormborn, a true winner among humans. She stands tall above others, despite her fragile frame.
There's something charming about her, perhaps it's her persistence or perhaps it's simply her suffering. But nonetheless, people tend to admire her in the halls, while secretly despising her. "Brother, come."
Draco abruptly finished his conversation and followed his sister into an empty compartment. Her expression immediately softened and she wrapped her arms around her brothers shoulders. "Merlin I've missed you." She said digging her face into his shoulder.
"Why is he alive. How is he here Draco. I know I'm supposed to be the brave one but how can I be when he could kill me." Flo's voice was frail, quiet. Broken. Draco hushed his sister and rubbed her back and she eventually pulled away from him and wiped her cheeks. "You still have some time Draco. I'll be gone soon, it's my last year after all. But I'll be at the manor, or perhaps I shall ask Dumbledore to stay another year and study." She said as she left the compartment gaining her composure again.
She strutted back down to where Fred and George sat as the train finally came to a stop. "So, how was Romania." Fred said as he wrapped an arm around the girls shoulder.
"You know Freddie it was absolutely wonderful. I can ride them now, Rhaegal, Viserion and Drogon are in the forbidden forest, perhaps I can take you there one day." She smiled as they got in the carriages that were pulled by the thestrals.
Florence heard a screech and she looked up to see her dragons flying widely across the air. "Bloody hell." She heard Lee, Fred and George say at the same time and she laughed.
