99. Catharsis

I run, run, run
deep into the forest,
far away from all my worries
until I reach my safe spot
where heaven meets the Earth
in a cascading waterfall

My feet falter,
the adrenaline begins to fade
as my heart rings louder in my ears
afraid of things to trade.

I cry out as my pace is broken,
stumbling onto my knees
in a poorly broken fall,
the pain falling loose
on the dewy ground.

Tears escape in wordless cries,
anguish bleeds in silence,
the words are caught in my throat
in miserable sirens.

At last a small sigh escapes,
and then a trembling sob,
and soon the waterfall breaks
in between my heart's throbs.

The storm in my heart roars,
my cries deafening the peace,
tainting nature grey
With tragedies ceased.

And at last I let out the longest scream
extinguishing every last bit of response,
my head falls gently to the ground
in hopeless nuance.

My heart floats lighter than it was
as my eyes begin to droop,
in nature's very arms
my catharsis was
now cooped.
