"Ash... he died." I jolt my head in the direction of Ibe-san sitting beside me on the couch. Everything seemed to stop. The gentle buzz of the flies who had squandered their way into the house were no longer there. The sunlight that was once casting soft shadows had dimmed to almost gray. The feel of home that had been embracing me for the past hour had turned cold. My head started to hurt. Alot. My eyes flickered around the room and back to Ibe-san. "Wh-what?" He gave me a longing expression almost as if my pain hurts him so I should stop. I begin to feel darkness wrap around my limbs and latch itself onto my very being and consume me until all I can do is listen to the clicking of a clock somewhere far off into the distance.
