Garroth woke up in a pitch black room. The only light that was around was directly pointed down onto him. He noticed that he was wearing some sort of jump suit. Something a prisoner would wear to be more specific. Except, it wasn't a bright orange but, grey. Socks were on his feet but, he still felt the cold temperature on the floor. Confused on where he was, he called out;

"Hello?"

"I thought you'd remember this place,", A familiar voice said.

Shadow's tone echoed slightly in the room, bouncing off the none existing walls. Garroth stood up on his feet and said; "Where have you taken me? Where's Blaze?"

"Aw, you already care your boyfriend that much? That's sweet,", Shadow teased. He sounded close but, far. "Don't worry though. This is only your mind. You're really still in bed, next to him. His arms are wrapped around you. He's warm."

"You're sick,", Garroth snarled, clutching his fists. He hated that Shadow knew what was happening. It just proved to him that he was there during that intimate moment that had shared that evening. The thought of him seeing that, made him feel sick to his stomach.

"It's just what you're thinking and I don't judge."

"Why am I here?"

"I just thought I'd remind you that I'm still here. You seem to be forgetting that little detail,", Shadow said, sounding more stern. "Today was only a moment, remember that. I can show up at any time still."

"Blaze will know it's you. Besides, the bracelets will keep you back until I calm down again,", The blonde argued. "Also, we're on our way to make sure it never happens again."

He only chuckled and didn't acknowledged the topic again. Instead, he went onto a different story entirely.

"I brought you here for another reason. I'm entering the next phase of my plan,", He explains. "You might not remember this place now but, you will soon. You'll remember all the memories we shared here. You'll also remember other things and the feelings you had during those moments."

Garroth felt a chill breeze whip by him, making his shiver slightly. He knew Shadow was close but, he couldn't see him. He never did. For Shadow was only a shadow a bad thoughts that were lies. Nothing more. The blonde knew that. So why was growing scared?

"You're anxious thoughts never left you Garroth. They've been manifesting in you for years. You were strong for a long time and you think you're regaining that. That with Blaze, you'll be the same once again. But, you're forgetting one thing. There's no going back. Blaze has changed, Laurance has changed, Aphmau has changed, the world has changed...you haven't. You're a teenager in a grown man's body. Sooner or later, the people around you will see that. If I leave, sure, you'll be over one hurdle. But, there's a wall coming. One that requires you to climb."

"What the hell are you planning? What are you doing by having this conversation?"

Shadow laughed. "You'll see. For now, let me show you something. Or I guess...feel something."

Garroth heard a snap in the distance and like a gust of wind meeting him, he immediately felt this burning sensation on the complete left side of his body. He fell to the ground, crying out in agony. It felt like his skin was melting right off and when he pulled up his sleeve to see his arm, it was bright red and blisters were forming. He wanted to vomit and wail at the same time.

"Don't you remember this?", Shadow hissed. "This is what you felt like seconds before death...isn't it awful?"

Garroth swallowed, silencing himself. He still felt the pain but, he needed to remain strong.
